Millions of Filipino viewers in and out of the country have certainly hooked up to their television sets enjoying the gruelling and highly-intense scenes in the final showdown between Ricardo Dalisay and his nemesis Joaquin Tuazon in the Philippines' number one primetime series FPJ's "Ang Probinsyano" leading to the ladder's death, as well as the start of a new chapter introducing the series' newest set of characters. These scenes eventually put its rival program to awe and disbelief throughout the course of the story.

The show's May 22 episode highlighting the much-awaited wedding of Cardo and Alyana drew more viewing households over the premiere of the recently-launched fantasy drama "Mulawin vs. Ravena", but the final showdown is where the show is at its peak once again. "Ang Probinsyano" continues to rule primetime last May 23 and 24 scoring a high national TV rating of 43.3% and 42.2% respectively based on data from Kantar Media. And as you look at the top 20 most-watched television shows in the country within those dates, you may have noticed that their audience is double the ratings of its rival program.

Its consistent position as the number one show in Philippine television has been a statement that its rivals are completely powerless against the exciting struggles and adventures of Cardo Dalisay within the past two years since its inception, even world-class fantasy dramas. Now, after avenging his twin brother Ador, Cardo will be facing not only a new chapter in his life, but also new dangers that await him and his family as the second book of everybody's favorite primetime series will put the spotlight on local terrorism. Not only that, the new cast that includes "Heneral Luna" John Arcilla, Lito and Mark Lapid, "It's Showtime" host Jhong Hilario, Sid Lucero, Angel Aquino, Ejay Falcon, Yam Concepcion, Pokwang, and Ronwaldo Martin will give many viewers more reasons why they should enjoy the second book more than the first book.

FPJ's "Ang Probinsyano" will stay on Philippine television until early next year, so anybody who watches the show can expect more drama, grit and action in the coming months.
