ABS-CBN, the true number one television station in the Philippines, celebrated and honored the bravery and heroism of Filipino soldiers last August 3, 2017 with a variety show entitled "Saludo sa Pamilyang Pilipino" held at the AFP Medical Center Auditorium.

With the help of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Kapamilya network granted the requests of the soldiers to see and meet the stars of the country's most-watched primetime series "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" led by primetime king Coco Martin while recovering from fighting bravely to recover the city of Marawi and other areas in conflict and it was very timely considering that Ang Probinsyano recently celebrated its 100th week of television and online dominance.

150 soldiers have graced the event which was also attended by the network's executives such as president Carlo Katigbak, COO for broadcast Cory Vidanes, corporate communications head Kane Errol Choa, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation head Jun Dungo, and business unit heads Deo Endrinal and Laurenti Dyogi, and this tribute could not have been possible without ABS-CBN News reporter Chiara Zambrano who thought of the idea after seeing firsthand the sacrifices of the military during her assignment in Marawi City.

Those who want to watch the variety show featuring the cast of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano may go to ABS-CBN News' Facebook page on their computers and mobile devices and find it on videos.

Days after the said variety show, the soldiers were also graced to watch the recently concluded URCC XXX at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last August 13, 2017 upon invitation from Southeast Asia's premier mixed martial arts organization. As part of the event, URCC has shown a video documenting the sacrifices of the military fighting against the Maute forces in Marawi City and paying tribute to those who have fallen. Indeed, these two respective events are surely ones to remember for our recovering Filipino soldiers. May God bless them in their future endeavors and for the liberty of Marawi City from terrorism!!
