Tech-centric companies continue to exert their own efforts in delivering their own line of products and service that cater to the digital lifestyle needs of Filipino consumers. On this edition of On The Radar, we will talk about what's new from Globe GCash, the official mobile app of one of the country's leading pawnshops and a the first original production from a popular local online streaming service.

Globe Launch PH's 1st QR Payment System

Mynt, the digital payments arm of Philippine telecommunications firm Globe Telecom, officially launched the first country's first QR payment system for mobile devices.

Touted as a new feature within the Globe GCash mobile app, GoPay allows GCash users to pay for goods and services just by scanning QR codes displayed by merchants and establishments. This would eliminate the need for the consumer to have cash on hand while the merchant no longer need to buy machines to process mobile money transactions requiring only QRs with a unique code linked to their GCash wallet.

Mobile device users may need to download and install the latest version of the Globe GCash mobile app from Google Play and iOS App Store, sign up for an account and fund their wallet through any of the more than 12,000 GCash partner outlets nationwide. Swiping left within the GCash app brings up the phone's camera where customers can scan a partner store's QR code and bring up payment details.

The new service is yet to be rolled out across selected partner stores in the coming weeks or months but this will make more Filipino communities comfortable with cashless transactions through their own mobile devices.

Many Filipinos are still lending part of their hard-earned money to their loved ones in the provinces, but there are some who prefer using an app that has a feature of sending money from app to app as an innovative and convenient way of making money transfer transactions much easier. This is where M. Lhuiller comes in with the ML Wallet which assures customers a faster, more secured and more reliable way of sending money and other transactions such as purchasing load and paying bills.

After downloading the app from Google Play and iOS App Store and installing it on their smartphone or tablet, users must sign up for an account upon opening the ML Wallet mobile app for the first time. They need to complete the registration process at an M. Lhuiller branch in their area before making transactions on the app.

Sending and receiving money is safe and well-secured on the ML Wallet app. All you need to do is to fund the wallet at any M. Lhuiller branch in your area and you are set to transfer your funds to anyone and anywhere in the Philippines. Heck, you can even do an app-to-app cash transfer to any of your friends or loved ones who has the ML Wallet app installed on their mobile devices. You can also use the funds in your app to pay bills and purchase load which is better than waiting in line to do your own transactions. All in all, the ML Wallet may be a reliable mobile companion for your own convenience.
