McDo PH Stripes Run 2017

In celebration of National Children's Month, McDonalds Philippines officially announced the staging of its 8th annual Stripes Run which aims to further promote bonding among families and friends as well as support literacy among Filipino school children. 

Organized in partnership with racing events company RUNRIO owned and founded by Rio Dela Cruz, the event will have two legs. The first is on November 25, 2017 at the Garden Bloc, Cebu IT Park while the other will be held at McKinley West, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on December 3, 2017. Each leg of the Stripes Run will have seven categories, namely:

Kiddie Stripes – 1 km run for ages 8 years old and below
Young Stripes – 3 km run for ages 8 to 15 years old
3K Stripes – 3 km run for ages 16 years and up
Family Stripes – 3 km run for teams with 2 adults (aged 16 and up) and 2 kids (aged 15 and under)
5K Stripes – 5 km run for ages 16 years and up
5K Squad Stripes – 5 km run for teams with 4 adults (ages 16 and up)
10K Stripes – 10 km run for ages 16 years and up

Stripes Run participants will receive a race kit which includes a pair of red and white striped socks where they will be wearing during the event plus a free stub for a McDonalds meal. Those who are interested to get running with striped socks on with their loved ones may register either online or at any select McDonalds store before November 23 for the Cebu leg or December 1 for the Metro Manila leg.

Race fees start at Php400 for the kids categories and Php499 for the adult categories. And since the Stripes Run is more than just a family bonding experience, proceeds from the two legs will be used to provide reading kits for Grades 1 and 2 students from public schools nationwide via the Ronald McDonald Read To Learn Program.
