Filipino pop culture fans may have to prepare their wallets, autographs
and loads of curious questions at the start of summer as the organizers of ComicCon
Asia 2018 have officially announced that the legendary Stan Lee of Marvel
Comics is slated to visit Manila as part of one of the biggest pop culture
events of 2018.
Stan Lee has been known for collaborating with some of Marvel's finest
comicbook creators and artists on the likes of Spiderman, X-Men, The Incredible
Hulk, Thor, and other popular superheroes. Many young Filipino comicbook
artists are undoubtedly looking up to the Marvel legend as one of their
inspirations for their own careers and works. But, it looks like Stan Lee is
not the only who will be gracing ComicCon Asia.
It is also announced on social media as confirmed by event organizers
that NBA legend and former Boston Celtics player Ray Allen will also be part of
ComicCon commemorating the 20th anniversary of his own biopic "He Got
Game". Furthermore, Walter Jones from the iconic Mighty Morphin Power
Rangers fame will also make his presence in the event. In case you don't know,
Jones played as Zack, the original Black Ranger in the series which was
popularized worldwide in the mid-90s.
