KZ
Tandingan, who is dubbed as the Soul Supreme in the Philippine music industry,
is now officially part of the latest season of the popular Chinese reality
singing competition Singer 2018 following her impressive and tear-jerking
second performance two days after Valentines Day.
In
her second stint in the said competition, KZ sung a medley of three different
love songs in Mandarin which was considered as her toughest challenge since
entering the competition. Her rendition of these songs has been a tearjerker
for some members of the studio audience, questioned by numerous Filipino netizens
regarding the song choice, and eventually received positive praise from YouTubers
with most thinking that she sang the medley from the heart.
However,
KZ's second stint was good enough to rank sixth in the said episode in terms of
audience votes. Although it is not as strong as her first, KZ managed to place 3rd
in the overall rankings which is enough for her to stay in the competition as a
regular contender. In case you must know, a new challenger must be in at least
fourth or higher in the overall rankings following his or her first two performances
to stay as a regular contender.
With
that in mind, it is no surprise that KZ' own rendition of Adele's "Rolling
In The Deep" in her first stint in Singer was a major factor in this development
considering that she entered the competition last February 9, 2018 as a new
challenger and managed to capture the hearts of the studio audience which puts
her on top of the competition. It is hopeful that KZ would be able to push
through with her own incredible performances all the way until the show's
season finale on April 13, 2018.
