What Trubists Can Expect From Kwentong DOTA on ESPN5

GAMING | February 16, 2018

The Philippine Pro Gaming League 2018 has already began its journey of looking for the best and finest gamers from different parts of the country that will make an impact in the local pro gaming scene, and it looks like Filipino gaming enthusiasts will get to discover how future local e-sports stars are preparing to make and break into their first foray towards their dreams through Kwentong DOTA.

Highly regarded as the first e-sports documentary series in Philippine television, Kwentong DOTA is slated to take viewers to the beginnings, struggles, hardwork and resiliency of aspiring DOTA 2 players from all over the archipelago as they are set to compete in what is considered to be not only the biggest break in their own lives, but also the beginning of a long journey to the professional gaming scene. From what I have learned, Kwentong DOTA revolves around the two different sides of a DOTA 2 player as if it is the e-sports version of Kwentong PBA.

DOTA 2 remains one of the most popular online games in the Philippines today and has been enjoyed by millions of young Filipino gamers from all walks of life. Many of these players have showcased their own skills in various gaming competitions for their own glory while the likes of TNC and Execration prove their worth against pro gamers from around the globe. It is without question that the impact of DOTA 2 is a major factor in the flourishing of the Philippine pro gaming scene.

Kwentong DOTA may be a promising series to indulge, but I guess many Filipino gaming enthusiasts won't be able to discover how aspiring pro gamers master their own skills since the series is poised to be a late-night affair. But if you want something refreshing before going to bed, then Kwentong DOTA may be the right one for you to binge before bedtime.

Anyway, Kwentong DOTA airs every Friday starting February 16, 2018 at 11:15 pm on ESPN 5 with Chooks-to-Go as its main sponsor. The first e-sports documentary series in the Philippines is in line with the Philippine Pro Gaming League 2018 presented by Globe Telecom and MET (Mineski Events Team).
