Joselito Altarejos' Tale of the Lost Boys and Ralston Mover's Bomba (The Bomb) were big winners in the awards night of the 2018 Sinag Maynila Film Festival held last March 11, 2018 at the Conrad Hotel in Manila. 

Tale of the Lost Boys, a totally refreshing tale of friendship between a Filipino mechanic and a Taiwanese aboriginal student, won Best Picture among the five official entries in the festival's third edition. It also won Best Screenplay, Best Editing and the Box Office Award. Meanwhile, the story about a deaf trying to take on the toughest jobs to support himself and his teenage lover won major awards including Best Director (Ralston Jover), Best Actor (Allen Dizon), and Best Actress (Angelline Nichole Sanoy) as well as Best Cinematography.

Best Documentary - Mahal, 2017, Janine Santos
Best Short Film - The Duwende, Odin Fernandez

All of Sinag Maynila's official entries this year were screened in selected SM Cinemas across the Metro from March 7th to the 15th as part of the Film Development Council of the Philippines' CineLokal project. Those who have watched any of these entries may still join in on the conversation via social media using the hashtag #SinagMaynila2018.
