ABS-CBN, ONE Championship Renew Ties

ABS-CBN Corporation, the premiere media and entertainment company in the Philippines, has officially renewed its partnership with ONE Championship, Asia's most profitable sports property, which promises to deliver more exciting action featuring some of the best MMA performers in Asia and in different parts of the world.

This renewed partnership will give more Filipinos exclusive access to many of the highly-anticipated events and bouts that only Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization has to offer, and credited to this development is the highly-successful ONE FC: Light of a Nation event in Manila last April which is highly-regarded as the highest-rated sports broadcast in the Philippines so far throughout the year and eventually overtaken the local TV coverage of the NBA Playoffs based on ratings data from Nielsen.

New Program Brings Football Stakeholders for One Purpose

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) recently launched and introduced My PFF, a mandatory registration program which aims to connect the nation's football stakeholders in one database allowing the organization to manage tournaments, events and players across all levels with more efficiency.

Developed in partnership with software developer RSportz and marketing arm MMC Sportz Asia, the program is embedded into the official PFF website which allows players, coaches, referees and team managers to have easy access to registration. After the registration phase, the program will allow the federation to integrate all sanctioned tournaments and leagues. This will also give federation precise data which states a better outlook on how to develop football in the Philippines from the grassroots level and beyond.

In a press conference held at the Century Park Hotel in Makati a few weeks ago, men's national team coach Thomas Dooley and Ateneo volleyball star Jarvey Gayoso were the first to register for the program. All players, coaches, team managers, referees and football officials may need to become part of the mandatory program until the end of the year to be able to participate in upcoming events, tournaments and other activities sanctioned by the PFF starting next year.
