After months of being left out in the Philippine telecommunications
scene, Sun Cellular is back on track with the rollout of its own wide
nationwide 4G LTE network. To make the rollout more interesting for new and
current mobile subscribers, Sun has officially tapped Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli
and Filipino comedy icon Vic Sotto as the brand's newest ambassadors.
Backed by PLDT, Sun's 4G LTE network will enable more Filipinos to enjoy
their own best internet experience possible on their mobile devices with a
faster and more reliable connection under the bright sun. Prepaid subscribers
may now head to a Sun Shop in their area and request for a replacement LTE SIM
card while postpaid users may need to wait until November to make the said
request. Regardless, the best thing about it is that you don't need to change your
Sun number just to enjoy the benefits of 4G LTE beyond your usual internet
habits.
Anyway, prepaid users who already have their own Sun 4G LTE SIM card on
their smartphones may consider Sun's new offers that cater to their own needs. These
include Sun's new BigTime Data 70 which offers 1 GB of mobile data, unlimited
texts to all networks and 30 minutes of calls to Sun subscribers for only Php70
valid for seven days. Otherwise, they may go with Wais LTE 50 which offers 300
MB open access data plus 200 MB data consumable for selected chat and e-mail
apps valid for 3 days.
