2019
is shaping up to be a huge and exciting year for ABS-CBN as the most-watched television
station in the Philippines for 2018 is starting the new year right by bringing
four new and intriguing shows that would surely delight every member of the
Filipino household and kicking off the year for the network is the major Philippine
free TV debut of the hit Japanese animation series One Punch Man and the highly-anticipated
return of Minute To Win It: Last Man Standing.
Highly
regarded as one of the best animation shows of today's generation, One Punch
Man revolves the bald and buff Saitama who is overwhelmingly vanquishing his foes
with only one strike of his fist. Be thrilled by this action-comedy anime every
Sunday at 9:15 am. On the other hand, celebrities and ordinary people are vying
to take on different challenges using simple things in the newest season of one
of the most-watched daytime shows in Philippine television today. Hosted by
Luis Manzano, Minute To Win It: Last Man Standing airs every Mondays to Fridays
after Pinoy Big Brother Otso Gold in Metro Manila and regional TV Patrol
newscasts in ABS-CBN's regional stations nationwide.
Another
show to watch out for at the start of the new year is World of Dance
Philippines. Hosted by Luis Manzano and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, this
new weekend delight features thousands of aspiring and professional dancers and
dance groups of all ages from different parts of the country showcasing their own
prowess and aiming for not just glory but also the chance to compete against
the best in the world of dancing. They will be judged by three of the finest and
highly-renouned when it comes to dancing namely international singing sensation
Billy Crawford, dance royalty Maja Salvador and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano.
World of Dance Philippines starts on January 12th after Home Sweetie Home and
on the 13th following Wansapanataym.
Headlining
the lineup of what will ABS-CBN bring to the table at the start of 2019 is the much
awaited return of Ms. Angel Locsin to primetime television as Lt. Col. Rhian
Bonifacio in The General's Daughter. A story revolving around family, love and
revenge, The General's Daughter is one series that many Filipino viewers can
indulge on with a star-studded cast and even its own theme song to boot which
is composed and written by Ogie Alcasid and sung by none other than Asia's
Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. The General's Daughter will make its debut
on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block on January 21, 2019 replacing Ngayon At
