Steadily
becoming the largest combat sports property in the Middle East, Brave Combat
Federation is trying to bring its global vision of delivering its own brand of
topnotch world-class mixed martial arts (MMA) action to more people around the
globe and it is slated to do it in the Philippines where the organization will
stage its first ever event there.
Founded
in 2016 under the guidance of patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad
Al Khalifa from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Brave has made significant headways and
outstanding strives to become a renouned global platform for athletes to showcase
their in-ring abilities and fighting styles which is set to be at par with the
likes of ONE Championship, KSW MMA and Glory among others. Since its inception,
it has traveled and visited 14 countries which include Bahrain, Brazil, UAE,
India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Jordan, Indonesia, Northern Ireland, Morocco,
Columbia, Pakistan, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
On
the 15th of March, Brave will make its first descent to our local shores with
Brave 22: Storm of Warriors which will take place inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena. As stated by
Brave CEO Mohammed Shahid in a roundtable session with local media, it will be
a great opportunity for Filipino MMA fans to get to see for themselves firsthand
what Brave is all about and expect quality MMA action like never before. Headlining
Brave 22 will be a bantamweight championship bout between defending champion Stephen
"The Sniper" Loman and former featherweight title holder Elias Boudegzdame
(15-5) of Algeria by way of Montpellier, France.
Loman,
who is a stalwart of the infamous Team Lakay and has a record of 12 wins and 2
losses, defended his bantamweight title late last year at Brave 18 in Bahrain over
Mexico's Felipe Efrain. Aside from Loman, Jeremy Pacatiw is another Filipino
MMA star who is making waves in the company for having the most number of
appearances with seven fights under its wing. On the other hand, Arben Escayo
and Ariel Oliveros are also carving their own name in the world of combat sports
through Brave's banner. This is a strong testament of the company's connection
to Filipinos and literally an essential boost to the country's prominence in
the world of mixed martial arts.
To
make Brave's first event in the Philippines more intriguing, it is confirmed
that Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa will grace the venue and witness every piece
of the action for himself along with the Filipino audience. Tickets for Brave
22: Storm of Warriors are now available via SM Tickets. For more updates on Brave
