Philippines'
TNC Pro Gaming and Afreeca Freecs Fatal of Korea have rose to the top of the
Asia Pacific professional gaming scene after beating other teams in different
countries across the region and becoming champions of the Asia Pacific Predator
League 2019 which took place at the National Stadium inside the Nhimbitr Sports
Building in Bangkok, Thailand last February 16-17, 2019 and was powered by no
less than Acer's highly intriguing Predator gaming line.
The
Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 was a weekend filled with not just excitement
from spectators and eSports fans, but also thrill and mayhem that has been felt
by the 26 teams participating from different parts of the region as they have
showcased their gaming prowess using the full slate of the Predator gaming line
including a bevy of cases modified by several prominent Thai artists. The league
is headlined by two different tournaments featuring two of the most popular
eSports games in the world today, DOTA 2 and Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG).
After
a weekend of intensely gruelling action, it was the Philippines' own TNC that
conquered the DOTA 2 stage and won the coveted Predator Shield after defeating
Indonesia's BOOM.ID in a thrilling grand final showdown. Following TNC's
flawless dominance in the DOTA 2 stage is the much more thrilling PUBG Finals where
Afreeca Freecs have proven their worth to win the Predator Shield and overwhelm
their opponents in the battle royale arena including Philippines' Arkangel
which finished 7th overall in the finals and four from Thailand.
A
prize pool of US$250,000 (approximately Php13 million) was at stake in the
two-day spectacle, and it would seem that TNC and Afreeca Freecs will take home the grand cash prize of US$75,000 and Predator Helios 300 notebook PC units for each member of the team. Meanwhile, during the course of
the tournament, pro gaming buffs and spectators were being treated to a live musical
performance from the all-female Thai pop group BNK48 and have their own time to
take home freebies and souvenirs from the event.
