It has only been a few months since Konami revealed initial details of
the upcoming TurboGrafx-16 Mini compact video game system which is set to
complete the trifecta of compact gaming systems that aim to bring the 16-bit
generation of gaming joining the SNES Classic Edition and the forthcoming Sega
Genesis Mini. Now, the renouned Japanese-based video game publisher and
developer has announced more details on the mini system including the full
lineup of its built-in games and it looks like these full details have already
set the gaming world on fire.
Slated to be released worldwide on March 16, 2020, the TurboGrafx-16
Mini will introduce young and old gamers to the world's first 16-bit gaming
system that provided an arcade-like quality gaming experience beyond
expectations and a bevy of some of the best titles available but was
underestimated and lesser known in the gaming scene for long. The compact
system will include a unique lineup of 50 built-in games comprising of 24 TG-16
games and 26 PC Engine titles where some are the same game both in English and
Japanese which means that English-speaking gamers can enjoy playing Japanese titles
especially Ys Book I and II. Though both regions will roughly have the same
game library, the only exception is that Tokimeki Memorial will be included in
the Japanese PC Engine Mini instead of Salamander.
Here is the complete lineup of the games included in the uniquely

The TurboGrafx-16 Mini, also known as the PC Engine Mini in Japan and the
PC Engine Core Mini in Europe named after the Core Grafx, will remind gamers of
a different entertainment experience similar to what the Super Nintendo Entertainment
System and Sega Genesis has offered before. It is uncertain when pre-orders for
the unit will become available in gaming stores around the world, but this has
already received a wide bevy of mixed reaction from young and old gamers probably
due to its game lineup. Well, it will take less than a year to see if the TG-16
Mini would become a successful mini system to boot. By the way, it is priced at
US$99.99 when you pre-order the TurboGrafx Mini and it is initially available on Amazon via pre-order.
