There is no stopping the popularity of the most talked-about daytime
drama series on Philippine television today, Kadenang Ginto, whether be on the
small screens or even the online world. Now, the series' teen quartet The Gold
Squad has announced that its official YouTube channel reached its one million
subscriber mark and it will headline two upcoming movies slated to be released
on the online streaming service iWant by the end of the year.
Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin, known as SethDrea, will star in
their first original digital movie entitled Wild Little Love, a romance-drama
where they will act alongside veteran local showbiz veterans Carmina Villaroel,
Alfred Vargas and Victor Neri as well as fellow KG star Criza Taa. It is also
set to be the first project of Ultimate Bidaman Jin Macapagal. On the other
hand, KyCine (Kyle Echerri and Francine Diaz) will find love and magic in the upcoming
iWant original romance-drama fantasy flick Silly Red Shoes where they will be
joined by former Quezon City mayor and local showbiz veteran Herbert Bautista.
SethDrea and KyCine fans should expect these movies to become available on the
service by the end of 2019.
Meanwhile, the teen quartet's popularity has reached beyond the small
screens and spilled over to the video streaming platform YouTube as The Gold
Squad received the Gold Creator Award from the service for reaching one million
subscribers. With more than 1.1 million subscribers to date and counting, The
Gold Squad's official YouTube channel managed to achieve its latest milestone
in less than four months. Launched in May 2019, the channel has released 33
videos that have earned a total of 54.6 million views where the quartet takes
on different fun challenges as well as provide updates to their fans on their personal
lives, events and projects. Among them is The Gold Squad 'Halo-Halo' Dance
Tutorial Music Video which is the most viewed video in the channel with more
than 5 million views.
