ABS-CBN,
the premiere media and entertainment company in the Philippines, was once again
being hailed as the Best TV Station in the 33rd Philippine Movie Press Club
(PMPC) Star Awards For Television which was held last October 13, 2019 inside the
Henry Lee Irvin Theatre of the Ateneo De Manila University, Loyola Heights,
Quezon City while some of the network's programs and personalities have won big
in a glamorous star-studded affair gathered by local television's finest and brightest.
Angel
Locsin, who won Best Drama Actress for her stunning role as Rhian Bonifacio in the
recently concluded primetime action thriller The General's Daughter, led the
roster of Kapamilya actresses who were hailed among the Television Queens At
The Turn Of The Millennium which include Bea Alonzo, Judy Ann Santos, Kathryn
Bernardo, Kim Chiu, Liza Soberano and Maja Salvador. On the other hand, the consistently
trending duo of Pinoy Big Brother 737 big winner Maymay Entrata and Edward
Barber were recognized as recipients of the German Moreno Power Tandem of the
Year while the families of the late Eddie Garcia and Gina Lopez-Roy were
grateful to receive Posthumous Awards from the PMPC for their contributions to
the industry following their respective surprisingly unexpected deaths.
