The second season of the AboitizLand Football Cup Luzon Edition officially
kicked off last October 20, 2019 at the Aboitiz Pitch, The Outlets at Lipa,
LIMA Technology Center Complex situated between Lipa City and Malvar, Batangas
with the men's open division category of the highly-anticipated seven-a-side
football festival where the University of Batangas shine the brightest and
bested twelve other clubs from CALABARZON and Metro Manila to dominate the division
with its two teams standing tall on the podium.
The first team of the UB Brahmans captured the division championship
crown after edging out Philippine Christian University - DasmariƱas, 1-0, in a
thrilling championship match courtesy of Renz Dimaano's winning shot which
earned him the Finals MVP award. Meanwhile, Dimaano's teammate Goldwin Espina
was hailed as the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the men's open division tournament.
Prior to the championship game, the second UB Brahmans team was able to capture
bronze after whipping Aquire Football Academy, 3-1, in the battle for third
place.
A bit of star power surely added flavor to the opening day of the Luzon
edition with the graceful presence of Philippine national football team members
Jarvey Gayoso and Alisha Del Campo during the opening ceremonies who are slated to compete in the forthcoming Southeast Asian Games to be held in the Philippines on November 30-December 11, 2019. AboitizLand

San Agustin have graciously welcomed the participating teams in the said ceremony
with their respective remarks.Following the opening ceremonies, it would seem
that the men's open division category has literally opened the AFC Luzon
Edition with a bang and in its entirety.
Anyway, expect more exciting seven-a-side football action on the Luzon
edition of the longest-running club football tournament in the Philippines
every Saturday and Sunday at the world-class Aboitiz Pitch artificial turf until
