ABS-CBN continues the tradition of highlighting heartfelt and inspiring
stories of Filipinos as it welcomes the holiday season with the launch of its newest
and highly-anticipated Christmas station ID dubbed "Family Is Forever"
which celebrates the unwavering, unconditional and enduring love of Filipinos
for their families.
Launched last November 18 following TV Patrol, the Christmas station ID
is a tribute to Filipinos who embody the true meaning of love for family as it
features the Noblezada "Keribels" family from Iloilo with a happy
disposition amidst life's obstacles, typhoon Yolanda survivor Marielle Hernali
from Tacloban who graduated valedictorian in her class and one-legged swimmer
Arnel Aba who won a gold medal in the ASEAN ParaGames. It also showcased the
touching stories of Jan Aure Gascon who has a simple dream of owning a pencil, Batangas'
own El Gamma Penumbra which became the grand winner of the first season of
Asia's Got Talent, and the Garcia brothers from Pangasinan whose love for their
country as soldiers is as strong as their love for family.
"Family Is Forever" is recorded and interpreted by The Voice
Kids finalists and judges Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga and Bamboo and included
live recordings of Kapamilyas from different sectors in various parts of in and
out of the country. The new Christmas anthem is also a medley of and an homage
to the network's popular Christmas carols through the years namely "Thank
You For The Love", "Just Love Ngayong Pasko", "Family Is
Love" and "Bro, Ikaw Ang Star Ng Pasko" which is celebrating its
tenth year anniversary this year. The new Christmas station ID quickly became a
top trending topic on social media with mostly positive reception from Filipino
netizens and has already garnered one million views on YouTube in less than 24
hours after its launch. It currently gained almost three million on the video sharing platform.
