With the entire province placed under general community quarantine since the 16th of May, several restaurants and other food merchants inside SM City Batangas, SM City Lipa and SM Center Lemery have re-opened for dine-in services following the directives mandated by the Inter-Agency Task Force ensuring the safety and well-being of their food-loving customers with the continuing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines on hand until now. These dining options, including SM Food Court, have implemented strict standard health protocols in order to bring back the fun in dining while guaranteeing the safety of both their customers and employees.
Dine-in operations in dining establishments and other food merchants are allowed but at 30-50 percent capacity as mandated by the said protocols. To ensure safety while dining, customers are encouraged to observe the wearing of face masks, physical distancing by sitting either diagonally or solo, and avoiding seats and tables with markers. Moreover, sneeze shields at counters and touch-free cashless payment options are mounted to avoid physical contact. Also in place are contactless sanitizing stations, one-way foot traffic floor markers and regular disinfection of facilities. Customers who want to dine in must follow the three-step etiqurette: buy food from the restaurant, stay for a quick bite and clean as you go.

Speaking of staying for a quick bite, SM malls in Batangas are making use of its open areas more particularly event centers and atriums. Once used traditionally for fun and happy events, these open areas are transformed into extended dine-in halls with solo or diagonal seating to give customers extra space considering the 30-50% seating capacity in restaurants. These designated extended dining areas are part of SM Supermalls' continuing efforts to ensure the health and safety of mallgoers and bring back the fun in dining through its #SafeMallingAtSM campaign.
Visit the official Facebook pages of SM City Batangas, SM City Lipa and SM Center Lemery for the list of restaurants and food merchants with dine-in operations that are open.
