GMA Network's flagship AM radio station Super Radyo DZBB 594 Khz has launched a stronger and more comprehensive "S.O.S.: Serbisyo On The Spot" with its new anchor, veteran broadcaster Kathy San Gabriel, who is set to deliver her own brand of Serbisyong Totoo via the station's public service program airing Mondays to Fridays at 3:00 pm. The number one AM radio station in Mega Manila also welcomes the Deparment Of Trade And Industry (DTI)'s long-running consumer education radio show Konsyumer Atbp. anchored by Joel Reyes Zobel and DTI Undersecretary For Consumer Protection Atty. Ruth Castelo and airs every Saturday at 10:00 am.
S.O.S. assists in responding to Filipino citizens' various concerns involving government agencies including problems in government-issued documents such as birth certificate, marriage certificate and passport. It also gives free legal advice to listeners as well as tackle the rights of senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs). Joining San Gabriel are co-anchors Atty. Romy Macalintal and Atty. Rowena Daroy Morales. On the other hand, in Konsyumer Atbp., the hosts engage on timely and informative discussions on pressing consumer-related programs and issues. These include consumer rights and responsbilities, information about prices and supplies of basic goods, product standards and qualities, regular market monitoring and consumer complaints.
