Super Radyo DZBB 594 KhZ and Barangay LS 97.1, the flagship AM and FM radio stations of leading Philippine broadcast giant GMA Network, continue to dominate the airwaves at the start of 2021 as the top listeners' choices in Mega Manila. According to AGB Nielsen Media Research's Radio Audience Measurement data for January 2021, DZBB led all AM stations in Mega Manila with an average total day audience share of 52.5 percent and total reach of 2.36 million listeners while Barangay LS ruled among FM stations in the said area with an audience share of 33.8 percent or a total reach of 5.02 million listeners.
DZBB's main ratings driver is its morning block led by "Super Balita Sa Umaga Nationwide" anchored by GMA News pillar Mike Enriquez and seasoned broadcaster Joel Reyes Zobel which emerged as the overall top-rating AM program throughout the said month, followed by "Melo Del Prado Sa Super Radyo DZBB" and "Saksi Sa Dobol B" with Mike Enriquez. These are simulcast on GTV's "Dobol B TV" morning block. Listeners can catch the new DZBB weekday morning programs "One-On-One, Walang Personalan" with Arnold Clavio and Rowena Salvacion at 9 am and "Usap Tayo" with Susan Enriquez and Mark Salazar at 10 am.
In the afternoon, Barangay LS FM DJs Papa Marky and Mama Emma get to be heard on DZBB via "Dear Dobol B" at 1 pm followed by "Super Radyo Nobela" at 2 pm while Weng Dela Peña and Rowena Salvacion team up for "W Dobol Team" weekdays at 4:30 pm. Following the simulcast of GMA Network's flagship primetime newscast 24 Oras in the evening, Orly Trinidad gives a recap of the day's headlines in "Round-Up Kasama Si Orly Trinidad" at 8 pm while Glen Juego and Henry Autelar banner "Riding In Tandem Sa Balita" at 9 pm. Every Saturday, join Mark Macalalad in the new program "Markado" at 3 pm.
On the other hand, "Barangay Love Stories" hosted by Papa Dudut was Barangay LS FM's highest-rating program during the weekdays as well as on weekends with "Barangay Love Stories Premiere" and "Barangay Love Stories Back-To-Back", respectively. Meanwhile, Barangay LS reminds listeners that every night is a chance for them to fall in love even after and beyond Valentine's via its "Gabi-Gabi, Valentine's Day" evening block featuring "Wanted Forever" with Papa Bol weeknights at 9 pm, "Goodnight Philippines" with Lady Gracia, and "Barangay Love Songs" weekends at 9 pm.
