Electronic Arts (EA) has officially announced that EA Sports PGA Tour, a new next-generation golf video game, is currently in development and is being developed by EA Tiburon in Orlando, Florida. In EA Sports PGA Tour, golf enthusiasts will be able to build their virtual career and experience the sights, sounds and thrills of the PGA Tour including the Players Championship, FedEx Cup Playoffs and many unforgettable events throughout the circuit. The game will feature many of the world's largest and most famous golf courses where gamers will have the option to play against and as the biggest names in professional golf.
EA Sports has entertained tens of millions of players around the world during its longstanding relationship with the PGA Tour through its golf franchise. Now, through a newly-signed longterm deal with PGA Tour, EA Sports is slated to expand its history in golf with the next-gen PGA Tour experience. EA Sports PGA Tour will be built on the EA FrostByte engine and leveraging on next-gen technology and promises stunning fidelity, breathtaking immersive environments and approachable dynamic gameplay. The announcement of EA Sports PGA Tour came on the heels of additional global portfolio expansion of March Madness and FIFA showcasing the brand's continuing commitment to create new and exciting ways for gamers across the globe to engage with sport through authentic interactive entertainment.
