GMA Network Inc., the largest broadcasting network in the Philippines, continues to raise the bar in providing and delivering world-class quality Filipino entertainment with over 100 upcoming daytime and primetime programs that are sure to delight Filipino viewers on GMA and its newly rebranded sister channel GTV in the coming months.
Headlining GMA's new wave of programming slated to launch within 2021 are the breakthrough cultural drama series "Legal Wives" produced by GMA Entertainment Group and starring Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, Alice Dixson, Bianca Umali, and Andrea Torres; the sweeping romance drama "I Left My Heart In Sorsogon" featuring the Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista-Escudero, Richard Yap and Paolo Contis; the television remake of the renouned filmmaker Ishmael Bernal's classic flick "Nagbabagang Luha" bannered by Glaiza De Castro, Rayver Cruz and promising Kapuso actress Claire Castro; the return of the hit on-screen tandem of Ken Chan and Rita Daniela in "Ang Dalawang Ikaw" with Ana Vicente; "Las Hermanas" starring Yasmien Kurdi, Thea Tolentino, Faith Da Silva, Jason Abalos and seasoned veteran actor Albert Martinez; and the second season of the top-rating afternoon drama series "Prima Donnas" while kicking it all off is the charming story of "Heartful Cafe" starring Asia's Pop Diva Julie Ann San Jose, David Licauco and Edgar Allan (EA) Guzman.
Kapuso viewers should also look forward to "The World Between Us" starring Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Tom Rodriguez; "Love. Die. Repeat" featuring Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado; "To Have And To Hold" featuring multi-talented Kapuso actresses Carla Abellana and Max Collins; the riveting drama series "Artikulo 247" headlined by an outstanding ensemble cast comprising of Rhian Ramos, Mark Herras, Jackie Rice and Rocco Nacino; the weekend action-adventure family drama "Agimat Ng Agila" featuring the much-awaited television comeback of Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr.; and the highly-anticipated live action adaptation of the hit Japanese mecha anime series "Voltes V: Legacy" starring Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Matt Lozano as Big Bert, Raphael Landicho as Little John, Martin Del Rosario as Boazanian Prince Zardos and Liezel Lopez as Zandra.
GMA Public Affairs, on the other hand, is also set to deliver its own brand of exciting programs bannered by the upcoming action-adventure series "Lolong" starring Kapuso Action Drama Prince Ruru Madrid, Shaira Diaz and Arra San Agustin and include “Sireno,” “Mask,” “Version 2,” “Love Comes, Love Ghosts,” “Ang Babaeng Walang Pangalan,” “Sikreto Ng Hardin,” “Plastic Pandemic,” and the revamped “Road Trip.” Other upcoming programs to look forward to on GMA-7 are “The Witness,” “Maria Clara,” “The Love Connection,” “Little Princess,” “Raising Mamay,” “Widow’s Web,” and the mini-series “Alternate” starring Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes. Meanwhile, GMA Network reinforces its tradition of bringing all-out entertainment with comedy shows "Pa-Cute Ang Ina Ko" and "The Untold Story Of Philip Tampipi", "Running Man Philippines", "The Clash Season 4", "Sing For Hearts", "Lam Na", "Studio Juan", "One Knife Only", "Grad Waiting", "Sa Gillage" and "Supermom". Leading the stellar roster of upcoming program offerings on GMA's second free-to-air channel GTV are the romance mystery mini-series "Love You Stranger" starring the real-life young Kapuso couple of Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos and the weekend millennial variety show "FLEX" featuring Kapuso Gen Z stars Mavy Legazpi, Lexi Gonzales, Joaquin Domogoso and Althea Ablan. GTV viewers should also watch out for other fresh doses of entertainment via “Jowa Sessions,” “Boarding House,” “The Write One,” “Dreamland Hotel,” and “Sana All"; situational comedies “Ate Girls,” “Hapi and Gee,” and “Basketboys"; and the airing of the Philippines' first athletic league beginning with "Rise Up Stronger: The Road To NCAA Season 96" produced by GMA Synergy.
Not to be left out in the mix is the intriguing slate of Asian dramas under the GMA Heart Of Asia banner beginning with the critically-acclaimed South Korean drama series "The Penthouse" and Thai drama "The Gifted" which began airing on primetime and mornings, respectively, and set to be followed by "Bad Genius The Series", "Doctor John", "The Sand Princess" and "My Husband In Law".
