Online entertainment on-demand streaming service Viu is slated to release its first ever original scripted series from the Philippines titled "Still" which will be starred by Asia's Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose, theater princess Gab Pangilinan and Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista. "Still" tells the story of estranged friends Sab and Laura as they find themselves stranded together in Balay during the lockdown. As they struggle to overcome the uncertainties during isolation, the two will rally the support of other young creative talents to use their voices to motivate and inspire many others who are experiencing a similar situation in the "new normal".

Viu is also introducing UBettina Wethu, the South Korean adaptation of the international comedy drama series Ugly Betty and the platform's first South African Original Series, to audiences in Asia. UBettina Wethu is a smart and charming woman from rural Hammanskraal who is determined to do whatever it takes to fulfill her ultimate dream of being in the fashion publishing business. Meanwhile, the award-winning Malaysian Viu Original Series Black returns on May for a second season. With season one clinching Best Cinematography and Best VFX in the 2020 Asian Creative Academy Awards, Black will return with its original all-star cast with new blood added to the mix, promising a darker and grittier plot.

Also coming to Viu is the Indonesian Original Series Write Me A Love Song starring well-known Indonesian singers Bio One, Marsha Aruan and Dinda Katana. The upcoming romantic comedy series revolves around a struggling singer/songwriter Kun (Bio One) who tries to develop relationships with the women in his life where he experiences both love and heartbreak realizing that he needs to understand the meaning of love in order to write a successful love song. On the other hand, upcoming in the pipeline and still in production are three increasingly popular Thai dramas Wannabe (starring melodrama actor Chanon Santinatornkul aka "Nonkul", hip-hop artist Supakit Thinjun and Marina Balenciaga as a group of millennials from different walks of love that cross paths), My Coach (a sports romance drama about a beautiful football coach who finds herself caught between two men as she embarks on a journey towards self-discovery), and Agent Ghost (an action drama following the journey of a detective who joins the National Occult and Belief Division (NOBD) to catch the cult leader of the Eternal Bliss Society which is responsible for her family's death).
