Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) is one with the national government and the private sector in helping the country battle the COVID-19 global health pandemic. Through its Robinsons Malls, RLC opened its Lingkod Pinoy Centers to Go Negosyo's A Dose Of Hope vaccination program, recognizing that a more accelerated vaccination rollout is a crucial step towards achieving population protection and eventually herd immunity.
Robinsons Malls and Go Negosyo have partnered to roll out a vaccination program aimed towards the inoculation of workers and economic frontliners under the MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) bracket which comprises 99 percent of the nation's economy. Under "A Dose Of Hope" pioneered by Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Sec. Joey Concepcion, the private sector, the government and the vaccine manufacturers have agreed to expedite the vaccine procurement process for private sector employees and economic frontliners.
Concepcion said that there is an urgency to halt the recently detected transmission of the Delta variant through an accelerated vaccination rollout. “The Delta virus is here, and we must prepare now. With more and more cases being recorded, it’s become a tight and dangerous race between Delta and the government and private sector’s efforts to vaccinate the unvaccinated." He also acknowledged the support of Robinsons Malls to facilitate the private sector's inoculation rollouts. "With this, I recognize the efforts of our partner Robinson Land Corporation, for facilitating a speedy private sector’s vaccination rollout, and making it more accessible to our MSMEs who have been greatly affected by this pandemic,” he shared.
This is especially critical for MSMEs that are unable to procure vaccine supplies on their own due to the minimum order requirement for logistics and vaccine administration. Almost 300 of these businesses with over 170,000 employees are targeted to benefit from the program that will be offered in various Robinsons Malls across the country including Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Starmills Pampanga, Robinsons Place General Trias in Cavite, Robinsons Place Palawan, Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Robinsons Place Bacolod, and Robinsons Cagayan De Oro with RLC looking to roll out the program in more malls nationwide. “We, at Robinsons Land, are committed to doing our part in helping the country and our fellow Filipinos overcome this crisis. We will continue to support efforts to vaccinate the population at the soonest possible time," said RLC President and CEO Frederick Go.
Opened to the public in 2011 and serving millions of Filipinos, Lingkod Pinoy Center is RLC's mall-based government center that houses various government agencies including the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) among others with the aim of bringing critical services closer to citizens. In addition to the "A Dose Of Hope" program, Robinsons Malls also partnered with 28 local government units (LGUs) nationwide for the ongoing vaccination of individuals under priority groups A1 to A5. These malls, indeed, serve as the perfect venues for the vaccination programs because of their strategic locations and easy accessibility through public and private transportation. These efforts form part of RLC's overall commitment to strengthen the fight against COVID-19. Together with the rest of the Gokongwei Group Of Companies, RLC is one with the nation in overcoming the crisis brought about by the pandemic, continuously responding to the call of the times.
