A month after its release, Nuverse has officially announced the launch of Ragnarok X: Next Generation's Guild Wars weekly event across Southeast Asian servers that will enable and allow player-created guilds test their mettle in massive Player vs Player (PvP) battles with rewards at stake for those emerging victorious.

The Guild Wars takes place every Saturday at 9:00-9:45 pm local time and will happen in all of Ragnarok X's servers with a World Level higher than 55. These are open to all players with a Base Level of over 35 who belong to a guild. Altogether, there are five bases for guilds to conquer and then defend and these are located in Geffen, Alberta, Morroc, Izlude Island and Payon. The game's Guild vs Guild (GvG) system functions similarly to the original Ragnarok Online with multiple guilds fighting to occupy bases from the various major cities of Midgard. The guild that is able to destroy the Emperium crystal kept inside the city becomes the defender of the base and they must face off against other guilds looking to claim the base.

The weekly event will be divided into multiple phases: Siege War, Clash of Champions and Defensive War. In the Siege War phase, players must fight through monsters to gain control of neutral bases. Once a base is claimed, the Clash of Champions phase begins where defenders must defend it from other guilds for 15 minutes to become the base's defenders in the Defensive War mode during the following weeks. By successfully defending the base for 45 minutes in the third phase, the guild gains occupancy of the city and will eventually get exclusive rewards. Players can also have a chance to earn GvG Participation Chests just by taking part in the Guild Wars. The winning guilds will get City Owner Chests containing Guild Contribution and Shadow Equipment Materials plus access to Abyssal Arcade, a special PvP battleground where all five winning guilds must defeat special MVP bosses and get to chance to hold some of the game's rarest and most powerful equipment.
