MSI, the global leader in gaming, content creation and AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) solutions, brings its gaming arena to students in the Philippines through the first ever MSI Gaming Arena University Championship slated to run from October 30 to December 4, 2021. Filipino eSports fans, gamers and enthusiasts will be able to witness intense battles between collegiate teams in Riot Games' popular FPS (first-person shooter) game VALORANT. The tournament aims to recognize the emergence of eSports in the country and promote the importance of camaraderie among collegiate and university squads even without face-to-face engagements, moreover during the pandemic.
Bringing MSI's Gaming Arena University Championship to the local professional gaming scene, the tournament will be powered by Globe Telecom in partnership with AcadArena, the leading campus gaming and eSports education organization in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Through these collaborations, audiences and players alike will enjoy a seamlessly thrilling experience. Much like in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia, MSI Gaming Arena University Championship Philippines will be independent to best serve the player base and adhere as closely to local school schedules as possible.
