Entertainment company WaveRider is joining forces with Dubai-based eSports organization Galaxy Racer (GXR) to organize the inaugural edition of POPC Live!, slated to be the biggest eSports, comics and pop culture festival in the Middle East, set to take place in Dubai, UAE on March 2022 featuring five days of groundbreaking experiences and unique activities organized for the first time in the region. The festival is being supported by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), as part of its vision to transform Dubai into a creative space and showcase the city as a leading destination for culture, innovation and talent.
Some of the world's most prominent personalities, leading video game publishers and developers and top professional gaming squads will grace the event which is bound to feature an expansive eSports Zone setup, tournaments featuring the biggest names in gaming and entertainment, pop culture panels, workshops, conferences and concerts. Visitors will have an opportunity to interact and network with international social media stars and industry leaders. Headlining the eSports Zone are various DOTA 2, League Of Legends and PUBG Mobile tournaments with an undisclosed prize pool at stake as well as the GIRLGAMER World Finals and community tournaments hosted by Galaxy Racer that are open to the public.
What awaits comicbook fans and enthusiasts at POPC Live! is an all-embracing community event featuring all their favorite elements comprising of the Artists' Alley, Cinema Club, and celebrity meet-and-greet sessions among others. The festival's exhibitor zone will see some of the biggest video game publishers and developers, comic book houses, toy companies and film and television brands showcasing their variety of the latest and upcoming products. Finally, several local and international artists will perform their biggest hits on a state-of-the-art main stage complemented by a host of interactive performances that will keep fans at the edge of their positions.
