Global technology brand OPPO is partnering with Riot Games in bringing the League of Legends World Championship 2021 (S11). The partnership is part of the company’s multi-year deal signed with Riot Games in 2019.
This year, OPPO will present the most valuable players awards to pro players who dominate the battlegrounds with otherworldly performances in the finals. The company will also bring gaming highlights as well as interviews of the pro players and the teams to the audience. “League of Legends provides OPPO a platform to let more gamers around the world get to know us better for our users. More importantly, the unyielding spirit of the pro players is similar to OPPO’s relentless strive for innovation when it comes to products and technology," said OPPO Vice President and President of Global Marketing William Liu.
The League of Legends World Championship 2021 (S11) will see elite teams from 11 countries and regions to the most high-stakes tournament ever. The finals is on Nov. 6th in Iceland. “Based on the successful partnership last year, we are thrilled to have OPPO sponsor the League of Legends World Championship 2021. As the first global smartphone partner for the game, OPPO has become one of the most impressive tech brands among global esports players. ONE eSports, foodpanda Team Up To Produce And Launch Heroes Of The Game Documentary

ONE eSports, a subsidiary of Group ONE Holdings (ONE) which also owns the world's largest mixed martial arts organization and the most valuable global sports media property in Asian history ONE Championship, entered a partnership with online food and grocery delivery platform foodpanda to create "Heroes Of The Game", a new multi-part docuseries about the ONE eSports DOTA 2 Singapore Major held last March 2021.
The docuseries features exclusive never-before-seen footage, including behind-the-scenes strategies, victories, secrets, and challenges, that the esports heroes had to face during one of the biggest tournaments in the DOTA 2 series. The two-part documentary follows three teams - Evil Geniuses, Fanatic, OB Neon - as they compete for honor and pride in the prestigious eSports event. Viewers get a behind-the-scenes look from inside the “bubble” at the Fairmont Hotel in Singapore as the world deals with COVID-19. Exclusive interviews with players, coaches, and industry veterans tell the story of the highs and lows of their journey through the tournament, which had a prize pool of US$500,000. The Singapore Major is one of two majors that enables teams to qualify for The International, which was held in Romania in October 2021 where Team Secret emerged victorious as the grand champion of this year's edition of one of the world's most prestigious and most popular professional gaming events to date.

Biscuit and snack food giant Rebisco is all-out for Philippine volleyball. The main supporter of the Philippine Men’s and Women’s National Volleyball Teams’ stint at the Asian Club Championship hosted by Thailand sees the international volleyball club competition as a great opportunity for our local athletes to get the all-important foreign exposure that will hone their game.
Rebisco's Business Unit Head Noric Ng said everyone at Rebisco is happy that volleyball is alive despite the global situation and that the country’s veterans and next generation athletes are able to play their game at a high level of competition. “Rebisco is truly committed to pursue its passion for volleyball by supporting the game at all levels, from grassroots development, to competitive sports in the amateur and professional levels, and at the national level through this partnership with the PNVF,” Mr. Ng said.
Rebisco started supporting the national volleyball teams since 2017 but the three year partnership signed with the PNVF for the National Teams, enables the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) to run a long-term, consistent national team program by providing regular funding and participation in competitions such as this. Rebisco’s sights are set on a podium finish in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam in 2022.
“Our dream is to help the PNVF grow the sport and make this game an expression of the Filipino soul, locally and internationally. Our long-term goal is to make the Philippines a recognized international power in volleyball,” Mr. Ng said.
