Smart Communications, Inc. is now enabling eSIM conversion to all Smart Signature subscribers at all Smart Stores nationwide as part of its mission to provide a world-class customer experience to Filipino mobile users. An eSIM is an integrated chip in a smartphone or an Apple device that enables subscribers to easily activate their carrier’s cellular network. All new, existing, and re-contracting subscribers availing of a Smart Signature Device and SIM-Only Plans can easily apply for an eSIM at the nearest Smart Store. Upon successful application, subscribers shall be given a printed QR code to scan using their device while online. SM Gives Immediate Shelter And Relief To Typhoon Odette-Hit Areas, Accepts Donations For Victims

SM Foundation, Inc. through its Operation Tulong Express program, the relief operations program that gives immediate assistance in the form of basic needs in times of disasters, provided tens of thousands of Kalinga (care and relief packs) consisting of rice, bottled water and other essentials to over 5,000 families in Butuan (Agusan del Norte), Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo. Moreover, SM’s retail stores and malls were open when typhoon Odette struck to provide essential needs.
SM malls in Cebu, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan and Puerto Princesa provided temporary shelter to customers and nearby residents by offering free Wi-Fi, charging stations, drinking water, light snacks, free overnight parking and help desks ready to serve customers affected by the typhoon. “Our malls always serve as temporary shelter during critical times to serve our communities’ needs. We are always ready to help those most vulnerable in the affected disaster areas and deploy our Operation Tulong Express outreach program immediately.” SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan said.
Donations for the communities affected by Typhoon Odette will be accepted in 86 SM malls nationwide, including 8 SMDC malls. There are 3 ways to give – through cash donation boxes located at the SM Cares Bears of Joy booths and mall entrances, through direct deposit to the Philippine Red Cross (Account Name: PHILIPPINE RED CROSS; Banco De Oro – EDSA, Mandaluyong Branch; Account Number: 012928001854; SWIFT CODE: BNORPHMM) and through scanning the PRC QR codes below. All proceeds will go directly through the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), a partner of SM Cares and the SM Foundation, Inc.

OPM Singers Salute Frontliners Through The Song "Bayaning Tunay"

Twenty-five Filipino artists have come together for a special song called “Bayaning Tunay” dedicated to the many frontliners who have become today’s real-life heroes. Performed by Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Lea Salonga, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Pops Fernandez, Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha, Noel Cabangon, Piolo Pascual, Bamboo, Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco, Erik Santos, Christian Bautista, Jed Madela, Nyoy Volante, Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan, Morissette, Klarisse, Janine Berdin, Jason Dy, Sam Concepcion and Lara Maigue, “Bayaning Tunay” is meant to honor the frontliners’ courage and commitment during the pandemic.
“Let us not forget the unsung heroes who helped us during the most difficult moments in our hospitals during the pandemic — the frontliners,” shared Ogie who composed the song as a year-end gift for them. "Last year when we lost our Dad to COVID, I witnessed virtually how everyone at the hospital were working round the clock in order for them to save as many lives as they could. To all of you, we want to tell you that we will never forget you and will be forever grateful for your service," he added. This initiative was relayed to Dr. Tony Leachon who is the chairman of Kilusang Kontra Covid (KilKoVid), a civil society group formed in Quezon City to help the QC government with its COVID-19 pandemic efforts. KilKovid then connected with the health care workers sector through Dr. Maricar Limpin of the Philippine College of Physicians to apprise them of this forthcoming support.

Ubisoft Bares Assassin's Creed Live Concert Series

Ubisoft in partnership with Overlook Events has officially announced announced Assassin’s Creed Symphonic Adventure, an upcoming live concert created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Assasin’s Creed series.
Promises to be more than just a concert experiece, the Assassin’s Creed concert will feature a full orchestra and choir in a “unique and immersive concert experience” that will feature the various iconic tracks from the franchise — from its ancient origins to the modern-day settings. Along with a live orchestra and choir, the concert will also feature video montages on screen that are synchronized with the orchestra, choir, and soloists. The Assassin’s Creed Symphonic Adventure will kick off in Paris, France on October 29, 2022 at the Grand Rex. This event will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed series. Following this premiere, a World Tour is scheduled from early 2023 internationally. Though currently, there’s no word yet on dates and venues.
