Six of the most iconic women in Pinoy Rock are coming together as solo artists and collaborators for a one-night concert happening on November 26, 2022 (Saturday) from 8:00 pm onwards at The Theatre at Solaire. Aptly titled TANAW, the three-hour show will feature Filipino singer-songwriters Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas as they grace the big stage with songs that rekindle past loves and welcome newfound inspirations.

Elevating the concert-going experience with a balance of grandeur and intimacy, the special performances also promise to show time and again the beauty of empowerment, vulnerability, and purpose. GNN Entertainment, the show’s producer, is proud to support TANAW in championing Filipina music icons whose enormous contributions to uplifting Original Pilipino Music (OPM) deserve to be heard and celebrated. In a statement, GNN Entertainment PR and Marketing Director Ian Urrutia shares, “It’s a great moment to witness women making impactful strides in helping revive the live music scene in the Philippines. We take pride in being part of their crusade to showcase world-class artistry and nurture a fun but enriching experience for fans who are yearning to rebuild their connection with the music that shaped their years and the artists that led them through that journey.”

GNN Entertainment’s Events Director Marie Lara Pauline Bobier asserts that the upcoming concert will serve as a great way to bring back its festive appeal while helping the audience get through the tough times with stories of optimism and hope. “We want the fans to feel that this concert is both a celebration and a reunion. The ladies have made a mark in the music scene, and we want to honor their contributions through this one-night show.” TANAW marks the first time that the six solo acts will be performing together for a concert. From their early days as lead vocalists of late ‘90s/early 2000s bands, to establishing their identity as individual artists, the six acclaimed singer-songwriters have proven their staying power with sold-out tours and concerts, chart-topping singles and albums, and a dedicated fanbase.

Tickets for the TANAW concert are available at TicketWorld and are priced at Php4,600 (SVIP with Meet and Greet), Php4,100 (SVIP without Meet and Greet), Php3,700 (VIP), Php2,900 (Lower Orchestra), Php2,800 (Upper Orchestra), Php1,700 (Lower Balcony), and Php1,300 (Upper Balcony), respectively.

City Of Firsts Welcomes Rebranding Of SM Cubao To SM Araneta City

Starting October 2022, SM Cubao — one of the first branches of retail giant SM in the metro — will be officially known as SM Araneta City. The historic City of Firsts welcomes the change in the name of the iconic mall, which serves as a fitting follow-up to the rebranding of Araneta Center to Araneta City in September 2019. “We are happy that SM, itself an institution in Philippine retail, is part of the memorable and colorful history that shaped Araneta City. They are one of our very first partners in business, and they have been a valuable part of our identity through the years,” said Araneta City Senior Vice President for Operations Antonio Mardo.

It was in 1980 when SM — known back then as Shoemart department store — opened its third branch in the Araneta Center. SM Cubao opened four years after nearby Ali Mall was inaugurated in 1976, and was the Center’s second land lease establishment (after Rustan’s Superstore in 1975). It has since become one of the original prominent shopping destinations in Quezon City. Commercial establishments in Araneta Center, including SM Cubao, underwent a series of changes and modernization since the ’90s following the rising retail and property development competition in the metro. To mark the rich pioneering history shared by SM Cubao and Ali Mall, a Bridgeway was constructed to connect the two iconic malls.

“With SM Cubao’s rebranding to SM Araneta City, the transformation of Araneta from a pioneering commercial center to a modern mixed-use development takes on new heights. We look forward to completing our transformation and achieving our redevelopment plans with all our business partners in the near future,” Mardo said. The mall rebranding comes as Araneta City fulfills its redevelopment plan to revamp and modernize the metro’s pioneer commercial district. Following the renovations of existing properties, the City of Firsts is preparing to open soon the expansive Gateway Mall 2 and the country’s firsts ibis Styles hotel, and will commence construction of more developments.

In 2021, Globe then launched the eSIM-enabled ONENUMBER technology, the first in the Philippines, that allows customers to share the same number between their phones and watches, particularly on Apple devices. This means that iPhone plan inclusions such as data allowance, calls, and texts are shared with a paired Apple Watch. Customers also get additional 1 GB per month when subscribed to ONENUMBER. No need to worry about leaving their phones behind as they will always be connected through their Apple Watch.

Globe also makes these devices available through incredible ways. You can get it at a discounted rate with GPlan Plus SIM-only, bundled with GPlan with device, or just the Apple device of your choice that comes with a free Globe Prepaid SIM and VR Goggles at SRP. To get an iPhone 14 or Apple Watch with eSIM, just subscribe to Globe’s GPlan and choose eSIM as the preferred SIM type. Once the application is approved, customers will get the eSIM activation QR code through their registered email address. They may also go to the nearest Globe Store to avail of the latest Apple devices with eSIM. Customers have different payment options such as charge to bill, zero interest on installment up to 36 months using select credit cards, and GCash’s installment offer GGives.

Globe was first to bring to the Philippines chat apps, streaming services, free access to social media platforms and a new “phygital” experience through the metaverse as it continues to pioneer digital innovations in the country.
