ONE Championship™ (ONE) the largest martial arts organization in the world, announced that the company will make its United States (U.S.) on-ground debut on May 5, 2023 (Friday) at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The card will be headlined by the highly anticipated World Championship trilogy bout between MMA legend and ONE Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson and longtime divisional king Adriano Moraes. The two have traded highlight-reel knockout finishes and will settle the score at ONE’s debut show on U.S. soil.
ONE on Prime Video 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III will be free for Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada as part of a landmark deal that kicked off in August. Colorado has a rich history in combat sports as the first state to ever host a mainstream MMA event in 1993. Since then, the state has gone on to host a litany of events across multiple cities and venues. ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated, "This is a monumental day in the history of ONE Championship as we announce our U.S. on-ground debut in Colorado on Friday, May 5. Blu Boys Make It To World Top 10

The Blu Boys may have missed the bus to the Super Round of the recently concluded men’s softball World Cup but they gave the country a reason to celebrate with their Top 10 finish. Without a win in their first five games featuring a close 0-1 setback to eventual third placer United States, and then bowing, 1-3, to Cuba, the Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Blu Boys posted back-to-back victories, later on, shutting down higher-ranked Denmark, 8-0, before blanking South Africa, 4-0, for a respectable finish. Denmark is ranked 10th, while South Africa is 11th. The Philippines was the lowest-ranked qualifier at 21st among the 12 teams that played in the competition and its performance should improve its ranking.
“Our participation here was a good opportunity for the boys to test themselves against the world’s best teams. I am very elated with their performance particularly their games against Denmark and South Africa. A Top 10 finish in a team sport in any world competition is always something to be proud of,” said Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) president Jean Henri Lhuillier, the long-time backer of softball in the country. Lhuillier then extended his congratulations to the team. “Hats off to the boys for giving it their best and to ASAPHIL for making it happen. I want to make special mention of our pitcher Leo Barredo, he played at par with the top pitchers in the world,” Lhuillier said.

Through this partnership, GCash scan-to-pay transactions via fast and efficient QR payment options are now available across SM malls.
“Shopping for food and essentials and other items in the new normal has changed for many. More than ever, customers value safety, efficiency, and convenience. This is what GCash aims to provide Filipinos through our valued partnership with SM in line with our vision of financial inclusion for all. We are excited to collaborate with SM to offer a safe shopping experience to millions of Filipinos nationwide,” said GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon. Since 2019, GCash has been in partnership with SM to make customers’ shopping experience and transactions safer, faster, and easier with cash in, cash out, and scan-to-pay options. They had also previously enabled scan-to-pay options via static QR codes and terminals, which are still available for customers to choose from. With its partnership with GCash, SM has also proven itself a strong proponent of a more cash-lite society highlighted by the National Strategy on Financial Inclusion of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
To date, 8 out of 10 stores in SM Supermalls nationwide are already accepting various forms of cashless payments, including QRPh and contactless cards for in-store and webpay for SM Malls Online with merchants such as food, retail and supermarkets now accepting digital payments via GCash. Other mall services including parking, ice skating, cinema ticket booths, and other activities can now be paid cashless via GCash. For more convenient and affordable shopping, GCash users can also use GCredit and GGives, which are both available on the GCash app. GCredit offers a credit line for up to Php30,000 with zero annual fees. All you need is 1 valid ID and be at least 21 years old. GGives is an installment payment option for up to 24 months for items priced up to Php125,000 with an interest as low as 0%.
