Bounce back like G22! Cornerstone Entertainment’s very own P-Pop girl group G22 drops their latest single “Boomerang” on the midnight of February 24, a day ahead of their first anniversary in the music industry. Staying true to their “girl power” brand, the female alphas bring another powerful song empowering women and challenging gender roles. Entitled “Boomerang", the high impact pop song explores the idea of the tool – what goes around comes back around. “Boomerang may not only mean like the physical item boomerang. Since this is our comeback song, like a boomerang, we’re coming back, and it may also be a metaphor for karma,” says Jaz when asked about the concept of their latest single.
“Boomerang” interprets a story of a woman gaining her strength back after a failed relationship with a playboy lover. Although revolving around a romantic relationship, the track is an advocacy that aims to send a strong message about women having their own foundation amidst being in a man’s world. “We want to show confidence din. Hindi lang siya about love. It gives women a voice and a stand,” Bianca adds. “Boomerang” also promotes the idea that there are no limits on what a woman can do, highlighting mutual empowerment and equality, and that no matter how complex life has been, a woman can come back stronger. “As one of the writers, I had a visual imagery that I know that every girl can relate to. Even to me, when writing, I put it in my mind that I’m a woman in this world and in this industry,” AJ comments on the process of creating the track.
“Boomerang” is a collaboration between G22, Cornerstone Entertainment, and Republic Records Philippines under Universal Music Group Philippines. “Noong unang beses namin napakinggan ang 'Boomerang', na-inlove na kami, maganda na ‘yung song, but we wanted to add more to the song that will make it truly ours. We’re very thankful to UMG for being collaborative and open to our ideas,” Alfea expressed when asked about working with the record label. Following the announcement of G22 along with fellow P-Pop breakthroughs VXON, Yes My Love, and AJAA as the new groups signed at Republic Records Philippines under UMG Philippines, “Boomerang” is the first single released by G22 under the top music label in the Philippines. “Boomerang” is written by Adam Pondang, Samuel Gerongco, and G22’s Aj Yape, Jasmine Henry, and Alfea Zulueta, and released by Republic Records Philippines and Cornerstone Entertainment.
Tagged as “P-Pop’s female alphas", G22 is Cornerstone Entertainment’s very own P-Pop Girl Group made up of four young, beautiful, individually unique, and very talented ladies, namely: AJ, Jaz, Bianca, and Alfea. “Boomerang” is available to stream on all major streaming platforms along with its lyric video available at G22’s YouTube page. Heads up, P-Pop fans! Catch the return of the first and largest event that celebrates local pop music at its official home — Araneta City, the City of Firsts! Expect a bigger, better, and bolder music festival at the Pinoy Pop Convention (PPOPCON) 2023, happening on March 18 and 19. Join the fun as Araneta City brings together P-Pop artists and fans for a celebration filled with fun activities. Now in its second year, PPOPCON is making the event more meaningful for fans with highly-entertaining fanbase activities, booths, official merch selling, games, and P-Pop performances at the New Frontier Theater. Capping off the whole celebration is a mega concert featuring today’s biggest and rising P-Pop idols at the Araneta Coliseum.
PPOPCON brought the P-Pop idols closer to their fans this year with the series of mall shows in Araneta City. The mall tour was held last February 4 with 6ENSE and YARA at Ali Mall and last February 26 with Valfer, MONA, VER5US, HYV, BLVCK FLOWERS, and SMS at the Gateway Mall. Prime Video Announces Upcoming Korean Rom-Com Series "True To Love"

Global video streaming service Prime Video announced today that romance series True to Love will be coming to the service. Prime Video customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, India, the US, UK, Canada, and Australia can watch new episodes of True to Love weekly, every Wednesday and Thursday, starting April 12. True to Love is a romantic comedy series that bursts with romance. The romance is centered around reputable dating coach Deborah (Yoo In-na), the prickly publishing planner Soo-hyeok (Yoon Hyun-min), and the publishing company head Sang-jin (Joo Sang-wook).
Actress Yoo In-na is known for her roles in dramas like The Spies Who Loved Me, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and My Secret Hotel. Yoon Hyun-min has been seen recently in Get Revenge, Men are Men, and Witch at Court. And Joo Sang-wook has acted in series like Touch, Fates & Furies, and Fantastic. True to Love is produced by KT StudioGenie, Poongnyeonjeonpasang, and Oz Arena. The series is directed by Lee Tae-gon who has been loved by the public for his directing skills in Mad for Each Other, Diary of a Prosecutor, and the Hello, My Twenties series.
