There were two big winners at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night held last December: “Deleter” which hauled seven awards, and “Nanahimik Ang Gabi” (A Silent Night) which won five awards - Third Best Picture, Best Lead Actor for Ian Veneracion, Best Supporting Actor for Mon Confiado, Best Musical Score and Best Production Design. Season Three Of Hit Korean Medical Drama "Dr. Romantic 3" To Debut On Disney+

Following a remarkable first two seasons, the third season of the hit Korean medical drama Dr. Romantic 3 will begin streaming in late April on Disney+. Dr. Romantic 3 continues the story of highly accomplished surgeon Boo Yongjoo who gives up his prestigious position at Seoul’s top medical center and relocates to a remote hospital in a rural province (Doldam Hospital), with new doctors, a captivating new antagonist, and an unmissable romance.
Starring Han Sukkyu (Deep Rooted Tree) as Boo Yongjoo, the only surgeon in South Korea to become triple board certified in general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and emergency medicine; Ahn Hyoseop (Business Proposal) as Seo Woojin, a slandered doctor who is trying to rebuild his life under Yongjoo’s tutelage; and Lee Sungkyung (Call It Love) as Cha Eunjae, a second-year surgery fellow who frequently competes with Woojin but who has issues when she performs surgery, Dr. Romantic is written by Kang Eunkyung (Bread, Love and Dreams) and Lim Hyemin and is directed by Yoo Inshik (Dr. Romantic 1&2, Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Kang Boseung (Why Her).

Shopee, PLDT, Smart Upskill Local Sellers In Partnership With Talavera, Nueva Ecija LGU

Shopee recently partnered with leading digital services provider PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) to educate local sellers endorsed by the local government unit (LGU) of Talavera, Nueva Ecija through Pilipinas: Aahon and Babangon, a learning caravan created by PLDT and Smart to help MSMEs expand their livelihood opportunities through technology. For this session, PLDT and Smart trained attendees on how to effectively take photos for their business, while Shopee helped the MSMEs in attendance learn how they can grow further by taking their business online. A Shopee seller was also present to share his experience growing his enterprise on the platform.

Smart/MVP Sports Foundation Holds Taekwondo Summer Program

The Philippine Taekwondo Association is calling all parents and guardians to register their kids to the 2023 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation summer program which simultaneously opens in all PTA-affiliated clubs nationwide until June 3, 2023. Considered the most popular martial arts combat sports in the country, the foundation of taekwondo teachings and discipline has been proven effective and practical on children’s character build up. Also, sports is highly regarded as best way for exercise, physical conditioning, develop alertness, and self-protection.
Registration is now in full swing in all affiliated clubs in Metro Manila as well as regional offices from Region 1 to 12, Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR), Autonomous Region on Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), CARAGA, Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
