Professional Fighters League Returns To Overtime Elite Arena In Atlanta, Georgia For Second Half Of 2023 Regular Season

The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the fastest growing and most innovative sports league, announced that the second half of its 2023 Regular Season will begin on June 8, 2023 at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, to be aired live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ in the United States and worldwide via various global broadcast and streaming partners including YouTube, DAZN, Combate's Globo in Brazil and more. The PFL Regular Season features a true sports-season format where elite fighters from around the world compete in a Regular Season, Playoffs, and Championship, with each winner of the six weight divisions receiving a US$1 million prize. 

The final three events of the regular season will take place on June 8, June 16, and June 23 as fighters across the league’s six weight divisions look to punch their tickets to the 2023 PFL Playoffs. Tickets for the second half of the 2023 PFL Regular Season will go on-sale in April. “The Professional Fighters League is thrilled to be returning to Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, for the second half of the 2023 PFL Regular Season. After three action-packed events in our 2022 Regular Season, our world-class fighters will be back for one more shot to punch their ticket to the 2023 Playoffs live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN+, with global distribution to 160 countries," said PFL CEO Peter Murray.

The first of three consecutive PFL Regular Season events, PFL 4, hosted at Overtime Elite Arena on Thursday, June 8 will feature Featherweight and Light Heavyweight action, headlined by 2022 PFL World Champions Brendan Loughnane and Rob Wilkinson. PFL 5 will take place on Friday, June 16 and will see action in the Heavyweight and Women’s Featherweight divisions. On Friday, June 23, PFL 6 marks the return of the Lightweight and Welterweight divisions. Meanwhile, PFL has also announced the full card for PFL 2 (Heavyweight and Women's Featherweight) and PFL 3 (Welterweight and Lightweight) to be held on April 7 and 14, respectively, at the Theater At Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and aired live in the United States on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ and worldwide through various global broadcast and streaming partners.

2022 PFL Heavyweight World Champion Ante Delija headlines PFL 2 against Yorgan De Castro as Delija looks to take a step towards a third PFL World Championship appearance. In the co-main event, 2022 PFL Women’s Lightweight World Champion Larissa Pacheco returns to the PFL SmartCage in a matchup against Julia Budd who is seeking her first victory in the PFL. Further action will see the return of 2021 PFL Heavyweight World Champion Bruno Cappelozza set to take on 2022 PFL Heavyweight Runner-Up Matheus Scheffel. Renan Ferreira and Rizvan Kuniev will round out the main card with Kuniev set to make his PFL Regular Season debut against the hard-hitting Ferreira. “The Professional Fighters League will continue the 2023 Regular Season at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on Friday, April 7 featuring our Heavyweight and Women’s Featherweight divisions. I look forward to an action-packed card, with fighters seeking to make a push towards the PFL World Championship,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations Ray Sefo.

2022 PFL Lightweight World Champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier returns to the PFL SmartCage and will headline PFL 3 against Shane Burgos who will make his highly anticipated PFL debut against the reigning division Champion. In the co-main event, 2022 PFL Welterweight World Champion Sadibou Sy is set to face off with Jordanian native Jarrah Al-Silawi for an intriguing matchup with both fighters seeking to take a step towards the PFL Playoffs. Further action will see the return of two-time PFL Lightweight World Champion Natan Schulte who will take on 2022 PFL Lightweight Runner-Up Stevie Ray 2021 PFL Lightweight Champion Raush Manfio will match up with two-time PFL Lightweight Semifinalist Alexander Martinez with both fighters seeking to make a return to the PFL Playoffs. “The Professional Fighters League is pleased to unveil the full card matchups for the third 2023 Regular Season event at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on Friday, April 14 featuring our Lightweight and Welterweight divisions.
