ECHO Proud wins the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League – Philippines (MDL-PH). Held fully online, the competition saw ECHO Proud dominating the best-of-five (Bo5) series against GameLab, taking home the most-coveted title and the lion’s share of US$20,000 or approximately Php1,080,000. With a score of 3:1, ECHO Proud was hailed as the very first champion of MDL Philippines. Meanwhile, ECHO’s Jay Pee “Jaypee” Gonzalez has been declared the Grand Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). Blacklist Academy and BREN Euphoria settled for third and fourth finishes.

Pop Band A1 Comes Back To Manila In Celebration Of 25th Anniversary

The popular British–Norwegian boy band A1 is set to make a comeback here in Manila this October 2023, just in time to celebrate their 25th anniversary in the music industry. This is a highly anticipated event for Filipino fans who have been waiting for the group’s return to the Philippines after their successful concert in 2018. Thus, their upcoming tour is aptly called TWENTY FIVE. A1 has been back to their original line-up, which consists of Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, and Ben Adams, since Paul re-joined the group in 2018 for their 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour, now 5 years on the band returned to celebrate their musical milestone.
“We’re so grateful to our Filipino fans who have supported us throughout the years,” says Mark. “It’s been 25 years since we started as a group, and we’re so excited to be able to celebrate this landmark anniversary with our Filipino fans” he shares. Back in 2020, A1 got a fantastic reaction when Ben performed a duet of “Like a Rose” with popular OPM star Morissette as an online performance during lockdown. A1 toured Denmark in 2021 and Sweden in 2022. Global leading smart device brand OPPO recently announced the rollout of a major software update for its flagship foldable phone, the Find N2 Flip, which further enhances the functionality of its cover display. Filipinos In 21 Countries Worldwide To Buy Load Soon Via GCash

Following the launch of GCash Overseas, the Philippines’ leading mobile wallet GCash is set to beef up its global services with the International Buy Load feature on the app that will allow Filipinos to easily send and buy loads from 21 countries for their relatives abroad. GCash will be the first e-wallet in the country to introduce the feature which will be under beta mode for a limited time. Similar to the existing buy load feature on the app, the international load feature allows users to buy load for an international number.
“With this feature, Filipinos can easily access 48 international telecommunications providers and buy prepaid loads for their family members to help them stay connected wherever they are in the world,” said GCash president and CEO Martha Sazon. The service will be available in the following countries: Egypt, Ghana, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zambia. The full launch is expected in the latter part of 2023.
