Garena Undawn participated in the recently concluded CONQuest Festival 2023 held at the SMX Convention Center Manila last June 2-4, 2023, bringing aspects of the survival shooter to life. Across three days, the booth welcomed over hundreds of fans and visitors who got to experience the immersive zombie world of Undawn both in real life and through playtests prior to the game’s official launch. The Undawn booth, which was situated at the centre of the convention hall, featured a gaming area, a mock gun practice range, a crate with enclosed zombies, and a zombie-themed photowall. Realistic zombie scare actors roaming the event grounds also proved to be a huge success in drawing festival goers to Undawn’s unique doomsday-themed booth.
Undawn invited several popular Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) such as ChooxTV, Lolobads Circle, and Een Mercado, to experience the game’s different gameplay modes and interact with fans at the festival. The booth also welcomed KOLs Elanorm, King Jasro, Ako si Dogie, Hypebits, Lhea Bernardino, and Eric "Eruption" Tai who popped by to try out Undawn and interact with fans. Through informative panel sessions hosted by the KOLs, fans were able to learn more about the various tactics in tackling Undawn’s gameplay modes. The Player vs. Player (PvP) matches held between KOLs, which were livestreamed on Facebook, were also extremely well-received by fans who greatly enjoyed spectating the different KOLs showcasing their skills and teamwork.
As part of fan engagement, a handful of booth visitors were selected to team up with KOLs in a series of games. Fans were also able to get up close and personal with their favourite KOLs during meet and greet sessions held across all three days. Apart from the distribution of Undawn-branded masks to CONQuest visitors, several contests with exclusive prizes were also held across all three days. Daily top scorers who proved their sniper accuracy within the fastest time at Undawn’s shooting range got to walk away with official game merchandise such as an Undawn backpack, T-shirt, and jacket. Additionally, two lucky fans were selected to go on a coffee date with popular NPC Sherry where they could experience the social aspects of the game such as riding on the same motorbike towards the sunset, having couple photoshoots, and trying out couple emotes.
Get ready to experience the high visual quality and seamless open world of Undawn as it sets to launch on June 29, 2023 in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.
