At the inaugural MOPC Journalism Awards, GMA’s consistent excellence, being the country's largest, most trusted, most innovative and most awarded in the various platforms of TV, radio, and online, and as the most diversified broadcasting network was awarded 'Television Station of the Year 2023'. Receiving the citation for the Kapuso station was Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.
In his speech, Gozon said, “I attach special significance to these awards. These were based on the judgment of our peers in the press club. And that makes these awards even more meaningful. In honor of his 54 years of broadcast excellence, the late radio and TV icon Mike Enriquez was bestowed a ‘Lifetime Achievement in Broadcast Journalism' award which was received by GMA’s First Vice President for Radio Operations Glenn F. Allona. Former Chief Justice Artemio V. Panganiban, a board member of GMA Network and an author of 12 different books on law, faith and the Supreme Court of the Philippines, was hailed as 'Journalist of the Year - Law'. The honors bestowed on journalists and media organizations by the MOPC last October 25, 2023 at the Fairmont Hotel ballroom in Makati City is the first in the press organization’s 78-year history. Formed in 1945, MOPC is a roster of media practitioners, lawyers, and public servants. It is the oldest press club in Asia.

PETA To Stage "One More Chance" Musical In 2024 Featuring The Music Of Ben&Ben

On the evening of October 22, 2023 after the closing performance of “Walang Aray", the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) shocked audiences with a surprise performance of Ben&Ben, unveiling the company’s upcoming production, “One More Chance: The Musical", an adaptation of Star Cinema’s cult classic that will feature the music of the massively popular and award-winning Filipino nine-piece band. The crowd erupted in cheers after lead cast members of “Walang Aray", Gio Gahol and Marynor Madamesila who play the lovers Tenyong and Julia, performed a scene from the movie as Popoy and Basha. The iconic lines “She had me at my worst. You had me at my best.” was enough to give clues to PETA’s next production.
The announcement was topped by another jaw-dropping surprise as the set curtains parted, revealing the Ben&Ben band. The audience went wild with their electric performance and sang along with the band’s hit songs Kathang Isip and Araw-Araw, two of its heartfelt anthems that have defined an entire generation. In the prime of their youth, the band has maintained a level of cultural relevance that earned its place in the history of contemporary Philippine music. For three years, Ben&Ben has emerged as the most streamed OPM Artist and Group in the Philippines, being the first Filipino act to surpass more than a billion streams.

Dark League Studios is set to make future changes in the eSports perspective and offer aspiring students a platform to showcase and develop their skills and talent for gaming through the forthcoming launch of its flagship Estudyante eSports grassroots program which will be a great opportunity for students who want to enter this field as their career. According to Dark League Studios CEO AC Valdenor, “We want to encourage healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship, but we also want to focus on holistic development, giving students the opportunity to explore different career paths within the eSports industry."
The Estudyante eSports program will not just hold and organize campus tournaments but also aim to provide workshops, live broadcast seminars, and internships, allowing students to learn from the best of the best in the industry of gaming. This program will be exclusive for students and parents, teachers, and school staff to gain better knowledge about eSports.
