Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is set to be one of the competitive titles featured at the eSports World Cup with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) venturing outside of Southeast Asia for the very first time in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. With over 1.46 billion installations and a monthly active user base of more than 110 million, the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title will showcase professional eSports teams spanning from 14 international regions and over 35 countries vying for the largest ever prize pool in MLBB competitive history – US$3M.
Slated to be held on July 1-14, 2024, MSC 2024 will also feature the Wild Card format which was showcased in the M5 World Championship last year. The country allocation for the MSC 2024 Main Stage are as follows:
• Indonesia (ID) – Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 13 Champion & Runner-up
• Philippines (PH) – MPL Philippines Season 13 Champion & Runner-up
• Middle East and North Africa (MENA) – MPL MENA Season 5 Champion & highest ranking MPL MENA team from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). If the MPL MENA Champion is from KSA, then the slots will be allocated to MPL MENA Champion & Runner-up
• Malaysia (MY) – MPL Malaysia Champion
• Singapore (SG) – MPL Singapore Season 7 Champion
• Cambodia (KH) – MPL Cambodia Champion
• Myanmar (MM) – Myanmar Qualifier Champion
• North America (NA) – North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) 2024 Spring Fall Champion
• Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) – MCC (MLBB Continental Championship) Champion
• Türkiye (TR) – MTC (MLBB Türkiye Championship) Champion
• Latin America (LATAM) – MPL LATAM Champion
• China (CN) – CN Qualifier Champion
• Wild Card – MSC 2024 Wild Card First Place
On the other hand, MWI 2024 will also feature an expanded prize pool of US$500,000 with 12 participating regions and countries from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia & Singapore, China, the Middle East & North Africa, Eastern Europe & Central Asia, the Mekong Region (Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam), Brazil, and North America. The tournaments will take place in collaboration with the Global eSports Federation.
