The Philippine Senate congratulated and commended the artists and production team of the country’s highest-grossing film “Rewind" which will be streaming on Netflix starting March 25, 2024. In his Senate Resolution No. 909, Sen. Robin Padilla emphasized the film’s role in revitalizing the Philippine film industry, stating, “This achievement is a testament to the return of a vibrant and flourishing Philippine film industry - attributed to the hard work and commitment of artists, writers, directors, and all members of the production teams."

The film's main actors Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera and director Mae Cruz Alviar as well as Star Cinema's Kris Gazmen and Marizel Martinez and APT Entertainment's Jojo Oconer and Michael Tuviera of APT Entertainment were present to receive a copy of the Senate resolution during the ceremony. The Senate Resolution stated, “Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera-Dantes serve as inspiration, not only as artists on screen but also as one of the inspiring couple celebrities championing family values, entrepreneurship, and philanthropic deeds to help our fellow countrymen." It further added, “Recognizing this victory as well as the people behind it proves our pride and gratitude to those who relentlessly work to contribute to the evolution of the country’s cinematic landscape.”

Senate Majority Floor Leader Hon. Joel Villanueva praised “Rewind” for highlighting the importance of expressing love in everyday life. “Ipinaalala po ng mga eksena sa pelikula na walang rewind button ang buhay kaya po dapat sikapin pong ipadama araw-araw ang pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa ating pamilya at sa kapwa,” he shared. Following the film’s success, Sen. Risa Hontiveros sees this as a promising sign for a brighter future for the Philippine film and entertainment industry, stating, "Nais kong magpugay sa kanila at higit doon nais kong ipahayag ang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa isang bagong pag asang ibinigay kahit sa ating mga manonood na Pilipino sa kinabukasan ng sining at kultura dito sa ating bansa."

Showing in cinemas nationwide as one of the official entries for the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and across the globe throughout the start of 2024, "Rewind" revolves around John (Dingdong) who looks to make up for lost time and regrets with his family after an uneventful accident that cost his wife's life in a car crash. Desperate to have his wife, Mary (Marian), back into his life and to mend his relationship with their son Austin (Jordan Lim), he receives unexpected help from Lods, played by Pepe Herrera — giving him a chance to start anew and amend his wrongdoings to his family. But along with this opportunity, a costly consequence awaits. Co-produced by Star Cinema, APT Entertainment and Agosto Dos Pictures, the movie also stars Sue Ramirez, Joross Gamboa, Lito Pimentel, Ina Feleo, Ariel Ureta, Pamu Pomerada, Mary Joy Apostol, Via Antonio, Chamyto Aguedan, and Coney Reyes. "Rewind" becomes the first Filipino movie to surpass the Php900M overall box-office gross sales mark, making it the highest-grossing local film of all time and third in the history of Philippine cinema, and was recently hailed as "Drama Film of the Year" in the 2024 Trinity University of Asia Platinum Stallion Media Awards.
