GMA Network, the largest and leading broadcast media company in the Philippines, and ABS-CBN Corporation, the premiere media and entertainment company and leading content provider in the country, are thrilled to announce a historic collaboration as the ladder's noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” will air on GMA-7, the former's main free TV channel, every Monday to Saturday from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm beginning April 6, 2024.
The momentous partnership was sealed at a contract signing ceremony held last March 20, 2024 inside GMA Network Center's iconic Studio 7 and was attended by the top executives from both companies, along with the popular hosts of “It’s Showtime". Representing GMA Network were Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, and Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and GMA Films President and CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes. ABS-CBN, on the other hand, was represented by Chairman Mark L. Lopez, President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer Cory V. Vidanes, and Group Chief Financial Officer Rick B. Tan. “It’s Showtime” hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Ryan Bang, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, Cianne Dominguez and its newest addition Darren Espanto were also in attendance as well as members of the press.
The unprecedented move reflects the commitment of GMA and ABS-CBN to deliver top-notch entertainment and serve the Filipino people. Aside from GMA-7, "It's Showtime" is also seen on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Showtime Online U, Jeepney TV, A2Z, GTV, iWantTFC and The Filipino Channel (TFC) and will be viewed on GMA Pinoy TV and Kapuso Stream on GMA Network's YouTube channel starting April 6, 2024.
