"It’s Showtime", the longest-running noontime show of the Philippines' premiere media and entertainment company and leading content provider ABS-CBN Corporation, marked another historic milestone as it made its highly-anticipated debut on GMA-7, the main channel of the country's largest and leading broadcast media company GMA Network, which trended worldwide with #ShowtimeSanibPwersa topping the list of top trending topics on social media and garnered over 520,000 concurrent views across Kapamilya Online Live, Showtime Online U, iWantTFC and Kapuso Stream.
The debut episode of "It's Showtime" on GMA kicked off with an astonishing and jaw-dropping opening number by the show's hosts Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Karylle, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Darren Espanto, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, Ion Perez, and Cianne Dominguez featuring heart-pumping performances for the Kapamilya and Kapuso viewers followed by the special birthday production number of Asia's Unkabogable phenomenal superstar and birthday girl Vice Ganda beginning with a "Dune" inspired video, which shifted to featuring her sitting atop the GMA logo on the network's main building. Her mothering performance includes Vice singing "Thunder", Champion" and "Hall of Fame" and delivering an empowering and inspiring monologue for aspiring dreamers within the LGBTQIA+ community, encouraging them to never stop believing and strive hard to achieve their dreams and overcome adversity in making their dreams become reality.
Vice then expressed her gratitude to the ABS-CBN and GMA bosses for continuously giving "It's Showtime" the opportunity to spread happiness and entertainment to more madlang people. She also added that this was her best birthday celebration and the continuous collaboration between the two media giants was for the viewers. "Ito ay para sa lahat ng Madlang People na mapapasaya namin simula sa araw na ito. Ito ay para sa GMA at sa ABS-CBN, lahat ng mga nagtatrabaho sa 'It's Showtime', lahat ng mga staff natin, napakahuhusay at napakasisipag, at sa ating lahat na mga hosts, sa lahat ng mga kapiling nating mga Kapamilya, mga Kapuso," said Vice. Kapuso stars Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, Glaiza de Castro, Jillian Ward, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, Jake Vargas, Mikee Quintos, Nadine Samonte, and Chanty Videla were present to witness the big day on television and take part in the "Karaokids" segment. Aside from the explosive opening number, the pilot episode of "It's Showtime" on GMA also featured a special episode of "EXpecially For You" wherein Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee became a searcher and was joined by her mother, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.
On the other hand, hundreds were also able to enjoy the historic airing of "It's Showtime" on GMA via a free public watch party as the main highlight of ABS-CBN's Bida Kapamilya event held inside the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, Rizal. Hosted by DJ Jhai Ho, Nicky Morena and Eris Aragoza, the Bida Kapamilya event also featured performances from "The Nation's Girl Group" BINI and “Can’t Buy Me Love” stars Joao Constancia, Vivoree, Albie Casino, and Gello Marquez as well as auditions for season 8 of "Tawag Ng Tanghalan (TNT)" and "EXpecially For You". TNT season 7 grand champion Rea Gen Villareal together with TNT alumni and Showtime Online U hosts Anthony Castillo and Lorraine Galvez graced the Ynares Center stage with their captivating and enjoyable performances during the event and eventually served as judges for the “TNT Sa Barangay” singing contest.
