The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has officially announced the confirmed dates and locations for the 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs where PFL athletes across six weight divisions will look to keep their World Championship and $1M dreams alive. The 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs will begin in the Heavyweight and Women’s Flyweight divisions on August 2, 2024 from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee (TN). The Light Heavyweight and Lightweight divisions will take to the PFL SmartCage on August 16 from Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida (FL) with the Welterweight and Featherweight divisions closing out the 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs on August 23 from The Anthem in Washington, D.C.
2024 has seen the toughest test in MMA, the PFL Global Season, get even tougher with Bellator and PFL Europe athletes joining the fray. In the end 12 elite athletes can claim a spot at the “Richest Night in MMA” the 2024 PFL World Championship “PFL Playoff action is second to none, with the best athletes in the sport vying for a chance to continue their million-dollar championship journeys. The PFL is excited to bring the 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs to Nashville, Miami and D.C. as well as our fans from 160 countries around the globe. The PFL Global Season Playoffs win and advance format is the epitome of meritocracy," said PFL CEO Peter Murray. The pathway to the 2024 PFL World Championship and $1M purse that comes with it will begin with a field of 24 fighters across six divisions. Each of the three Playoff events will feature the top-four fighters across two weight divisions battling to earn a spot in the 2024 PFL World Championship in a thrilling win-and-advance, lose-and-go-home format.
The second half of the 2024 PFL Global Season begins on June 13 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut (CT) with continuing action on June 21 in Salt Lake City and on June 28 in South Dakota. The 2024 PFL Global Season and Global Season Playoffs are available live across ESPN platforms in the U.S. and via DAZN in Canada, Europe and additional premium sports platforms worldwide. PFL is the only organization in MMA with the sports-season format, where individual fighters compete in a Regular Season, Playoffs, and Championship each year. The combined roster of PFL and Bellator boasts 30% of its fighters independently world-ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight-class. Presidential Son Backs Team PH In 2024 ICF Dragon Boat World Tourney

Staging the 2024 International Canoe Federation (ICF) Dragon Boat World Championships on home turf, Team Philippines wants nothing less than to contend fiercely for the overall title by putting its best foot forward against the finest paddlers on the planet. William Vincent “Vinny” Marcos will help ensure that the national dragon boat squad will be on track to make the country proud, throwing his all-out support for the country’s paddlers to perform world-class during the meet slated for October 28-November 4, 2024 to be hosted by Puerto Princesa City.
Philippine Canoe Kayak Federation (PCKF) president Leonora Escollante confirmed the Presidential son’s backing, specifically the preparation of the national junior squad of at least 36 paddlers based in Mindanao and Calbayog City, Samar. “Sir Vinny’s help will greatly boost our team’s chances to win more medals in the 2024 ICF Dragon Boat World Championships,’’ said Escollante in expressing gratitude to the youngest of the three sons of His Excellency Philippine President Ferdinand "Bongbong’’ Marcos Jr. Marcos, appointed as special assistant to House Speaker Martin Romualdez, will monitor the progress of the junior paddlers in the nation’s quest to at least duplicate its feat of capturing a record five gold medals during the 2018 edition of the world championship in Gainesville, Georgia, United States. “We are hosting the world’s biggest dragon boat meet and we intend to make our kababayans very proud,’’ said Escollante.
At least 20 countries have already confirmed their attendance as the PCKF and host Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Rodriguez Bayron expect a much bigger turnout compared to the previous editions of the world championships. With still five months away, the Philippines has already surpassed the participation of 15 countries back in 2022 when Racice, Czech Republic hosted the worlds with the organizers anticipating a much bigger record entry. Aside from the Philippines, top-notch paddlers from Germany, Hungary, Sweden, France, Czech Republic, Canada, Spain, and the United States have confirmed their attendance. Dragon boat specialists from India, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Iran, Malaysia, Thailand, Macau, Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Cambodia are likewise set to arrive.
