The newest basketball clinic for children, PLDT Home Fiber Fastbreak, is set to become a breeding ground for future champions. This initiative is spearheaded by former professional players and coaches who are providing both mentorship and inspiration to young aspiring basketball stars. The final leg of the PLDT Home Fiber Fastbreak made its return to Manila featuring notable mentors such as Rico Maierhofer, Cyrus Baguio, Jerwin Gaco, Ryan Araña, and TNT Tropang Giga players Poy Erram and Gryann Mendoza. This event marks the conclusion of a month-long celebration of basketball, highlighting the enduring passion Filipinos have for the sport.
The SM Megamall Activity Center wowed the crowd when former PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) players, along with TNT Tropang Giga’s Poy Erram and Gryann Mendoza, led a basketball camp for young athletes. They also hosted a 3×3 tournament featuring alumni from the National Basketball Training Camp. The PLDT Home Fiber Fastbreak series has successfully fulfilled its mission to inspire and influence the youth while also providing entertainment and fostering connections among fans and basketball enthusiasts. The presence of former and current basketball stars has undoubtedly made a significant impact, promising a bright future for many young players. “The future of Philippine basketball is bright right now. I see so many young players that have the drive to level up their game, and that’s so exciting to see. It’s great to have events that connect to different basketball-loving cities across the country.
