DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, recently announced it had secured the international broadcast rights to the Betclic Elite Championship after a successful negotiating process with the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) and the National Basketball League (LNB). The rights run over a five-year period from September 2024 to June 2029. This strategic partnership marks a historic opportunity for French basketball with the commitment of DAZN, as the official and exclusive broadcaster, to work collaboratively to develop new, innovative and personalised ways of consuming content, engaging and exciting fans, and reaching new audiences.
In addition to the weekly fixtures of the Betclic Elite Championship, DAZN will extend its coverage to the major events organised by the LNB: the ALL STAR GAME in December, the LEADERS CUP in February, as well as the introduction of a new tournament dedicated to young talent in January. These will be exclusively available in France and select international markets including Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Germany, Italy, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Taiwan, and United Kingdom (UK). Users can also watch live and on-demand regional club competitions such as the Basketball Champions League, the Intercontinental Cup, the EuroLeague Women and the East Asia Super League, as well as national leagues such as the Liga Endesa, the NBL, the Japanese B. League and many others.
