USA Boxing Announces 2025 Women’s And Men's Elite High Performance Team Rosters

Team USA has officially announced its Women's and Men's Elite rosters for 2025 following the conclusion of the Elite Selection Camp which was held at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado last January 20-February 19, 2025. Six female and seven male boxers were chosen through a detailed set of selection camp procedures by the USA Boxing High Performance department and were selected to the USA Boxing Elite High Performance team across various weight classes. These fighters will represent Team USA in the various World Boxing Cup events throughout the 2025 schedule beginning in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil on March 31-April 5, 2025. They are also slated to compete in the inaugural World Boxing Elite World Championships, taking place in Liverpool, England on September 4-14, 2025. 

Among the athletes representing Team USA on the Women’s Elite Team are Jennifer Lozano (Laredo, Texas), Yoseline Perez (Houston, Texas), Alyssa Mendoza (Caldwell, Idaho), Jajaira Gonzalez (Glendora, California), Morelle McCane (Cleveland, Ohio), and Isabella Winkler (Seattle, Washington). Lozano, Mendoza, Gonzalez and McCane return to the team after representing the Stars and Stripes during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Each of the six individuals on the Elite Women’s Team also captured the national title in their respective weight classes at the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships in Richmond, Virginia. Meanwhile, USA Boxing's 2025 Elite Men's roster is comprised of Orlando Zamora (Turlock, California), Thomas Covington (Westland, Michigan), Dustin Jimenez (Rochester, New York), Carlos Flowers (Dover, Delaware), Robby (Rahim) Gonzales (Las Vegas, Nevada), Malachi Georges (Teaneck, New Jersey) and Kelvin Watts (Chesapeake, Virginia). Gonzales returns to the Elite roster with a wealth of international experience including a gold medal at the 2021 World Championships. Georges makes his splash on the roster after holding a spot on the 2024 USA Elite Squad which ensued after he took gold at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials for Boxing. Covington claimed his position after earning Most Outstanding Male Elite Boxer at the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships in Richmond, Virginia.
