The much-anticipated 62nd Foundation Week Celebration of De La Salle Lipa (DLSL), held last February 10-15, 2025, was a celebration filled with festivities, camaraderie, and celebration of Lasallian excellence. Blessed with favorable weather, the celebration brought together students, faculty, alumni, and partners to showcase lots of talent, excellence and community spirit, supporting its theme “Be The Spark! Anim-O Two-gether, Let’s Go Farther!” The celebration opened with a grand ceremony, setting the stage for a vibrant and meaningful week. In his opening remarks, DLSL President Bro. Edmundo “Dodo” Fernandez FSC highlighted the significance of this annual tradition. "De La Salle Lipa has come a long way. This Foundation Week, I want us to remember two things. First, let us honor our roots. Second, let us celebrate because God has been good to us," he expressed, highlighting the deep gratitude and joy that define the spirit of DLSL’s Foundation Week.
Following the grand celebration is the opening of the Fair Grounds at the school's CENTEN area which drew students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and guests to experience the vibrant booths and interactive activities prepared by various organizations, departments, and student-led organizations. From fun games to merchandise stalls, the fair has become a central hub of energy and excitement. Beyond the excitement at the Fair Grounds, the day was filled with activities that showcase intellect, talent, and community spirit. From academic competitions and artistic showcases to student organization events and charity initiatives, the celebration brings the Lasallian community together. The opening day culminated in vibrant performances, uniting everyone in a shared experience of music, dance, and camaraderie. Academics and the arts took center stage with eleven intellectual competitions and ten remarkable talent showcases. Leisure and wellness activities complemented the festivities while the fairgrounds buzzed with energy all week long, hosting forty-two sponsors, including the IS Parents’ Association - PENCIL - and over sixty student-run booths. More than 10,000 fairgoers and their families, guardians and friends immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere while a dedicated six-organization documentation team captured every moment.
The week also featured three Eucharistic celebrations or Triduum Masses, affirming the institution’s commitment to faith. A significant milestone was the Investiture of the DLSL’s third Chancellor Dr. Teosodia Merlin Suarez, and, in a separate occasion, the Oath Taking Ceremony of the Alumni Association Board of Trustees. The DLSL High School Batch 2000 Medical Mission further exemplified the Lasallian mission of service. As the celebration draws to a close, the Lasallians Spark: A Talent Show serves as a fitting finale, highlighting the creativity and ingenuity of DLSL’s faculty and staff, with the Integrated School emerging as 1st Place finisher. With 62 years of Lasallian excellence behind it, the institution remains steadfast in its mission, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the years ahead. Indeed, DLSL's 62nd Foundation Week celebration is definitely in the books for the Lasallian community.
