Following a rigorous panel interview on June 16, 2025, this collaboration is set to begin in the first semester of School Year 2025–2026 and will serve as a new clinical affiliation site for Lasallian nursing students, particularly enhancing hands-on training in geriatric and medical-surgical care. Notably, DLSL is the first nursing school in Batangas to establish such a partnership with VMMC, reinforcing its commitment to expanding academic-industry linkages that support student development.
Recognized for its specialized departments and dedication to serving Filipino veterans and their dependents, VMMC offers a dynamic, service-oriented learning environment. Through this affiliation, students will gain practical exposure in real-world hospital settings, which is in line with DLSL’s mission to form competent, compassionate, and globally competitive healthcare professionals. The panel interview — part of VMMC’s stringent affiliation process — required DLSL representatives to present comprehensive portfolios, which key hospital officials carefully evaluated. This thorough screening underscores both institutions’ shared pursuit of excellence in healthcare education. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is advancing favorably with a formal recommendation anticipated in the near future, heralding the prospect of significant new opportunities.
