One of the highlights of the donation drive was the turnover at Salinas Elementary School which coincided with Bacoor City’s official opening of Brigada Eskwela 2025. The event was attended by Cavite 2nd District Representative, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, where she noted, “Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa CAVITEX para sa kanilang aktibong pakikilahok sa Brigada Eskwela dito sa Bacoor. Malaking tulong ang inyong suporta at volunteer work sa paghahanda ng ating mga paaralan para sa ligtas at maayos na pagbabalik ng ating mga mag-aaral. Maraming salamat, CAVITEX! Sama-sama, tulong-tulong, para sa mga paaralan ng Bacoor!”
MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Arlette V. Capistrano said, “We believe that our role in nation-building goes beyond the roads and expressways we build. It also means supporting the communities we operate in — especially the students who represent the future of those communities. Brigada Eskwela has always been a meaningful way for us to give back.” The donation drive is a part of MPT South’s wider Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which extends beyond toll road operations to community-based initiatives that promote education, environment, safety, and livelihood.

The SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena unveils the biggest centerhung in the country, officially dubbed as “SM MOA Arena The Cube”, last May 14, 2025. This beating heart of the arena is one among many steps in turning the venue into an event space with the finest fan experience, anywhere at the SM MOA Arena. The launch was hosted at the Arena's modern and luxurious Premiere Café to commemorate this added innovation which is set to rival other international National Basketball Association (NBA)-class courts. Together with long-time corporate partners, local government, sports leagues, and media partners, the event served as a symbol of their fruitful partnership. The venue not only beheld the centerhung with its own eyes but also heard its resounding voice as it introduced itself as the beating heart of the arena.
“The Cube is more than a screen — it’s being able to engage fans through the visual capability and versatility in any event,” says SM MOA Arena Senior Assistant Vice President and General Manager Arnel Gonzales. True to the arena’s commitment to bringing the best fan experience, this breakthrough aims to give fans a more immersive, interactive, and versatile viewing experience. The Cube was immediately seen in action during the University Athletic Association of the Philippine (UAAP) finals for Men’s and Women’s Volleyball where numerous team and fan moments were captured through the massive Light-Emitting Diode (LED) screen. This was the first time the new centerhung has been revealed to the public, showcasing its split-screen capabilities and real-time data integration, where fans had an up-close look at the game while staying up to time with the live standings. Captured in 4k high resolution of the SM MOA Arena The Cube was the crowning moment of the UAAP Women’s Volleyball champions, the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs, followed by De La Salle University’s (DLSU) Green Archers.
This milestone highlights the continuous development of the arena, following its addition of the Media Mesh in 2024, upgraded turnstiles in 2023, and 5G mobile and internet connectivity. As the SM MOA Arena celebrates its 13th anniversary this year, the venue continues to fulfill its promise to deliver top customer service through forefront innovation and world-class events.

A historic Baguio City to Tagaytay road classic, the formal inauguration of the country’s first indoor velodrome, and the signing of pledges by Olympic Solidarity scholars mark the combined celebration of the Olympic Day and World Bicycle Day on June 23, 2025 in Tagaytay City. “This is a historic first not only for the Olympic Movement but also for Philippine cycling. It’s a celebration and, perhaps, it’s the most unique in the world,” said Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and PhilCycling President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino who is also the mayor of Tagaytay City which is celebrating its 87th charter anniversary on June 21st.
PhilCycling's breakthrough Baguio-Tagaytay classic one-day road race — from Camp John Hay in Baguio City to the finish line in front of the brand-new Tagaytay City Velodrome along Crisanto de los Reyes Avenue — will cover a total of 288 kms and will pass through the major expressways — TPLEX, SCTEX, NLEX, Slyway, SLEX and CALLAX — featuring the top 30 finishers in the MPTC Tour of Luzon last summer. “It’s all about speed and endurance,” said Tolentino as he thanked the collaboration of sports patrons and business tycoons Manuel V. Pangilinan and Ramon S. Ang and the MPTC, San Miguel Corporation Infrastructure, Camp John Hay and Duckworld PH for the milestone classic. “We have confirmed our participation in the track events of cycling at the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand this December. This is to get the wheels rolling for the new velodrome which we anticipate to be one of the velodrome hubs in Asia,” said Tolentino. Lastly, Olympic Solidarity scholars in various sports will sign their contracts under the guidance of the POC all in one day on the formally inaugurated velodrome. PhilCycling is set to field men and women riders to the omnium event in the 33rd edition of the SEA Games which will be held on December 2025 in Thailand.
