At every stage, participants attended Shell-led training sessions and TESDA-certified modules that prepared them for NC I and NC II certifications, strengthening their credentials and expanding livelihood opportunities. Semi-finalists were tested in written exams, parts identification, and live repair challenges that mirror workshop realities. Semi-final winners each received ₱50,000 and advanced to the Grand Finale. At the Grand Finale, champions from across the country faced off in an electrifying showdown. Mark Anthony Calimag (Quezon City) was crowned the Shell Helix Auto Mekaniko Champions 2025 National Champion while Charlie Sandoval (Caloocan City) earned the title of Shell Advance Masters 2025 National Champion. Each champion received ₱200,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Malaysia to witness MotoGP, accompanied by other top finalists. The Top 5 car mechanics and Top 3 motorcycle mechanics also earned the chance to join the champions on the MotoGP experience. “What began in 2024 with a handful of regional runs has grown into a true nationwide movement that celebrates the grit, craftsmanship, and livelihood of Filipino mekanikos. Through the Mekaniko League we combine competition with certification — giving mechanics the recognition and skills that matter on the job,” said Shell Pilipinas Corporation Vice President and General Manager for Lubricants Jackie Famorca. “Seeing the passion and commitment of our motorcycle mechanics is inspiring. TESDA supports Shell Advance’s efforts to raise industry standards through certified training,” said TESDA Small Engine Advancing NC2 Competency Assessor Brian Landicho.

For Shell Advance, the Mekaniko League is a strategic platform to uplift motorcycle mechanics — the frontline technicians who keep riders safe and mobile. The Shell Advance Masters track emphasized hands-on skill development, diagnostics, and best workshop practices tailored to small-engine servicing. Beyond trophies and cash prizes, the League delivers accredited training, stronger credentials, and real economic opportunities for participants and their communities. The Shell Mekaniko League complements Shell’s broader programs to professionalize mekaniko work through hands-on training, TESDA partnerships, and the trusted performance of Shell Advance and Shell Helix engine oils. These efforts aim to ensure safer roads, better livelihoods, and higher service standards across the country.
